What an interesting label, the Japanese flag- and national symbols in general- are pretty controversial in Japan, but I like the label. My first Baird beer. Pours a dark amber color with a large white head. A sweet yeasty, honey nose, with some light earthy hops. The flavor is easy and good; sweet citrus, honey, dry and strong yeast, spicy and interesting. Very dry and easy to drink. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 27, 2009 Bottle Pours primarily as carbonation, taking a bit to settle into a hazy rusty brew. Very grainy aroma, like a mill. Willowy and somewhat light-bodied, this delivers with a light citrusy appeal, and a fragrant fruity undertow. Nice refreshing brew.
