This quenching brew is crafted in the American west-coast style. It sports a beautiful soft citrus hop aroma which gives way to a round, honeyed-fruit flavor. The finish is crisp and refreshing.

Great Japanese beer. Certainly not a traditional Japanese beer, but fits very well into the craft beer space. Has a well balanced use of hops. Certainly one I'll drink again.

A very good pale ale. Had it from a bottle at Melbourne modern Japanese restaurant. Full body, light head, strong citrus and watermelon. Good summer session beer.

360 ml bottle bought at foodGARDEN in D2 Place, Lai Chi Kok.

Translucent dull golden amber colour with some chunky yeast sediments; One and a half finger head with beautiful crumpety off-white foam which lasted for 3 minutes; Good sticky lacing with slight carbonation; Fragrant and slight sweet aroma of ale malt, with grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, light orange peel, light floral, sugar, pine, light earth, yeast and light grass; Very light sweet taste of moderate ale malt, with grapefruit notes, molasses, dry biscuits, earth, yeast, light spices, very light resin, lime, bitter hops and light herbal grass; Mid to light body. Slick and slightly oozy palate; Mouth feel is adequate ale maltyness, in a slick but not thick body. Citrus is just notes, not even zests; Minimal molasses, piney but not that oozy, light earth and yeasty biscuits rounded up. Everything is so close and you wish there is more to offer. Hmm... Hoppiness is quite fragrant grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, light pine and light floral in nose. Minimal citrus, light earth, pine, light lime and moderate grass in taste. Bitterness is moderate to light for a very abrupt low bitter non-finish; Dry after taste, slightly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This is a rather mild and timid APA. There’s no big bitterness, and every aspects from aroma, body and taste are adequate yet only moderate. It’s very easy to drink alright, yet it gives you that feeling of "there could be so much more to be great". Just decent for now, which seems to be a recurring theme from this brewery.

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance had a nice hazy glossy amber color with a decent one a and a half finger white foamy head that mushroom capped just a tad and fell into a nice looking concave look. The lacing stuck nicely to the sides of the glass with a decent bubbly look to it. The smell had a decent soft citrus to honey and leaving a semi-tropical fruitiness running into it all to combine fairly decently. The taste took the previously mentioned flavors and let the caramel malts come in more so in the taste to balance it. There was a decent dry malty aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the American Pale Ale style and was good to me. Overall, I say this was a fairly good APA worthy of having again.

On tap at Baird Harajuku. Hazy amber colour, white foam. A hop forward beer, really lacking somewhat in malts which made the body a bit thin. Shame as there is some nice aromatic citrusy hops in there and a floral bitter finish.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is grassy light citrus. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a citrus grass light spice hop palate. Mediun to light bodied with soft carbonation. Served cool as it should be. A refreshing pale ale that I’d be happy to drink again.
