3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: MAR 12, 2011 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy honey-brown with a huge white head. Nose is light, sweet malts and metal - not much hops. Some earthiness in the flavor, more metal, and bitterness only in the tail. Crisp finish. Unsatisfying. Not horrific, but the flavor just has no depth and doesn’t go anywhere. By the end of the glass, the flavor has come together a bit - but only a little bit, and this beer is still nothing special. Perhaps the bottle was a little passed its prime?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a clear, amber body and an off-white head of moderate size. Lovely one tracked hoppy aroma with grapefruit and citrus peel. Some malts in the far back. It’s full-bodied and dry, with flavors of lemon peel and grapefruit. Some malty sweetness, but that’s just in the background. Lasting bitterness. Overall, a very tasteful and pleasant beer, wouldn’t mind more of it, that’s for sure. 110319
