COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This quenching brew is crafted in the American west-coast style. It sports a beautiful soft citrus hop aroma which gives way to a round, honeyed-fruit flavor. The finish is crisp and refreshing.

Had from bottle. Pours with large head which lasts until the end. Lacing is adequate and carbonation good. A standard pale color of gold and copper with a white head. Malty aroma with a slight hint of hops - definitely not an imperial. Flavor again mostly of malts with a slight sweetness to the finish. A good pale, but nothing too special. Easy to drink, good flavors, just your standard pale.

360ml bottle (BierKompass.de)
Lovely fruity hop aroma, fleshy fruits, but quite a rich caramelly malt component too. Body’s similar, it’s full and sweet, and packed full of both sweet but also citrussy. There’s a slightly dry resiny bitternes too, a touch waxy. Finish is a bit grapefruity. All in all very clean and full flavoured modern pale ale.

Bottle:   Dusty orange, some sediment settles to the bottom of my glass, huge frothy off-white, sticky lacing.   Pale hop nose, powdered sugar sweetness, orange peel, and minor flora.   Stale/Musty hop flavors, miniscule sweetness, a little dry, some orange zest and tea leaves.   Not bad, but a little dull in all those aspects.   Certainly not what I am acclimated to.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Flat finish, quite dull at this time.   Smells great, started decent enough, but fell flat on its face at the end.

Keg at Harajuku taproom. Slightly cloudy pale yellow colour with nice small fluffy white head. Aroma is pine hops with tiny bit of citrus. Taste is crisp and bitter. Finish has rising bitterness. Nice and prickly in the mouth. Just what I needed to shake me out of jet leg.

0.36 l bottle at Craft Beer Co, London. Hazy golden orange color. Citrusy hop aroma. Dryish citrusy flavor with grapefruits, restrained nutty malts and hint of soap. Typical hop-forward APA.

Bottle at WOB. Pour little bouga wougas, I hate to bash on their beer after last year’s tsunami. It was real bland with grassy notes. Clear yellow pour with a white head. I hope all the best for the country of Japan and this brewery. I’m sure they will both get back on their feet soon...

Bottle @ Craig Garvies. Sweet fruity hop aroma. Golden yellow colour, not much head. Dry lemon hop flavour, bitter aftertaste. First Japanese pale ale. Decent, not great.

In bottle. Pours a hazy, light golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of passion fruit, caramel and yeast. Flavours of pineapple, peach and mango. Nice caramel malt backbone. Dry finish and an oily mouth-feel.
