2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours deep dark red wine reddish with beige creamy medium to large top, with rich thick lasing. Aroma - light malty sweet, far away roasted malt and same far herbal hopping, minimal milky-creamy lactic. Taste as all dry stouts I have tried - grassy, herbal, average bitter from hopping and darker malt, minimal sour and minimal sweet at the end. Light to medium body, thin, watery texture, flat carbonation, short finish with min sensible finish. Drinkable dark beer, but nothing to remember.

Bottle at Tap East, Stratford, London. Excellent appearance, an extremely deep ruby brown colour, with an appealing lasting tan head delivering good lacing. Initial dry acidity made way for rich chocolate, and blackcurrant and raisin fruits. Good body, average-soft carbonation, this was an enjoyable beer.
