Grumbo (917) - Suffolk, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2013
Bottle at Tap East, Stratford, London. Excellent appearance, an extremely deep ruby brown colour, with an appealing lasting tan head delivering good lacing. Initial dry acidity made way for rich chocolate, and blackcurrant and raisin fruits. Good body, average-soft carbonation, this was an enjoyable beer.

Biggish beige head. Nearly opaque black body shows a bright red spot when held up against the sun. Roasty chocolatey aroma with mealy grainy earthy notes. Sweetish roasty earthy chocolate taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish roasty earthy chocolate aftertaste with honey notes. Really nice. The aroma is dry. The taste is good but way too dry for my taste. I have some difficulty with dry stout. The aftertaste is left for a long while. Not impressed with the beer, I am but it did and drink anyway. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Ungstrup (30989) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 5, 2013
Bottled. A dark brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a slightly acidic end from the roated malt. Thanks joergen for sharing.
