Pours black with a small, light tan head. Nose is restrained but shows soft roasted malt and dark fruits. Bigger roasty flavours, with hints of coffee and oatmeal. Unfortunately the body seems watery. Somewhat plain.

Bottle. Almost opaque deep brown liquid with small light tan head. Aroma of smoke, caramel, biscuit, light butter and light coffee. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of peat, smoke, caramel and light butter. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. A bit smoky and also not that roasted.

(Bottle). Both smell as taste has a sweet and tangy tone with elements of roasted malt, sour smoke and some coffee. In the taste there is an interesting tint of salty seawater, which makes me think of Japanese food in the form of fish and seaweed (a funny thing when the beer comes from Japan). To bad that the taste in its entirety is fairly thin.
