Pours light brown, medium tan top. Woody, slightly smoky aroma that is supported loosely by malt base. Smoked malt, refreshing palate, and woody character with neat bitter to it. Not bad.

RBSG 2005. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate), lightly yeasty (barnyard), with a note of wood. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Interesting aroma with...wild yeast? Nah, couldn’t be. A bit thin, but a nice balance. I must admit I rather liked this.

Poures deep brown with red highlights. Has a creamy, light tan head. Aroma is light. Notes of malts and roasted coffee beans. Flavor is semi-sweet with a bit of bitterness. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malts are blended rather well making this a pretty tasty brew. It would be nice if the flavor was a little stronger and had a fuller body, but it’s a pretty good stout. I’ll pick this one up again.

rarbring (1085) - Linköping, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2013
Aroma: Smelling of burnt bread, figs, coffee and smoked meat.
Appearance: A hazy brown colored beer. A tan head with good lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting dark bread, smoked sausages, dark chocolate and dark coffee.
Palate: Medium low carbonation, a soft texture. A medium body with a very dry finish.
Overall: Very nuch hard roasted malt, almost too much.
Note: Bottle 360 ml. Reviewed 2013-04-09.
