Basically black, not much head from my pour. Dry, bitter stout, with very dark chocolate, burnt toast. Quite harshly bitter without corresponding richness. Still fairly drinkable and a not unpleasant experience.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. A really dark brown beer, topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. Quite weak aroma, with roasted, almost coffee-ish malts, some dried fruits and a touch of toffee and nuts. It’s pretty dry on the palate, medium bodied, with roasted and burnt malts. Some bitterness. Long finish with roasted and burnt malts dominating. Hints of licorice too. Not very intersting this one, at least not my kind of stout. 131231

Pours a watery brown with a thin head. Smells nice with dark roasted malts and chocolate but that’s where the fun stops. The taste is watery, deeply toasted malt seeming burnt at times. Looks ok, smells good, tastes worse. Actually its not that bad. Or good. Or bad.

Good pour with a fizzy coffee coloured head. Dark chocolate brown in colour. Soft chocolate and roast on the nose but there’s a lemon tangy note as well which I find distracting. Lemon pops again in the palate, doesn’t seem quite right but it keeps the beer dry. Still, the flavours never really get going, making for an expressive average stout at $8.50!

360mL bottle, pours black with a khaki head. Aroma of dry roasted malts, light coffee and a light bready quality. Flavour of mildly roasted malt, light espresso and that bready quality mentioned - smooth palate with a medium roasty finish. Pretty generic though decent.

The aroma is dry. The taste is good but way too dry for my taste. I have some difficulty with dry stout. The aftertaste is left for a long while. Not impressed with the beer, I am but it did and drink anyway. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

On tap at Popeyes in Tokyo. Dark purple to black with a modest head; really strangely watery texture, next to no carbonation; light but unconvincing peat and cocoa powder. Dull finish

Bottle at RBSG, thanks to TimE (I think). Dark brown cody with some caramel light at the edge of the liquid. Juicy gummy flavor, with some cannibus and milk flavors. Lacking any stout characteristics. Very watery, oily and slick. Dirty and gritty in the finish. Not a good beer.
