COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The concept for our Single-Take Session Ale is this: a moderate gravity (11.7 P) Belgian-yeast fermented ale that enjoys lots of hop-flavor and hop-aroma character without exhibiting much hop-bitterness (only 20 IBUs). We want Single-Take to deliver a complex yet balanced flavor explosion that is bright and sprite and never fatiguing. A deft grist combination of floor-malted barley (Maris Otter and Bohemian Pilsner), wheat and rye provide the perfect stage upon which our whole hop actors (German Tettnanger, Czech Saaz, American Santiam and Amarillo) get to sparkle. Our Belgian yeast strain holds the entire flavor performance together with its firm, spicy and tart directorial oversight.

Tap. Suffers a bit from a lack of body, as most session beers do. Nice enough smell and ok malt flavour but nothing in the mouthfeel to bridge those components together

Awesome. Deep, hazy gold color so its opaque. The head is big, dense, white frothy goodness. It has a light aroma of faint malt and hops yet the aroma still satisfies. The ody is medium yet fully satisfying. The taste is a medium malt and bitterness making it a balanced beer good for a session.the finish has a nice bitter kick followed by a weak sweetness, and a closing bitterness.

Bottle at The Foundry (Mohamed Sultan Rd), Singapore, 4.5% ABV
Cloudy amber color with generous head. The aroma is moderately spicy, the mouthfeel is lean, dry; the flavor is well spicy, quite like Belgian beers; correct bitterness.
It doesn’t have a distinctive character to raise it above the crowd, but it’s a pleasant beer.

360 ml bottle bought at YATA in Grand Century Place in Mong Kok.

Cloudy hazy golden honey amber colour with lots of dirt-brown yeast sediments; Three finger head with beautiful, crumpety off white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with slight carbonation; Very fragrant and sweet aroma of ale malt, with refreshing grapefruit, floral, honey, caramel, light orange peel, strong Bel yeast, cinnamon, earth, lime and grass; Mid to light sweet taste of full Ale malt, with light grapefruit, dry biscuits, light molasses, dough, yeast, strong earth, spice, light liquorices, strong lime and herbal hops; Mid to light body, quite thick and slick palate; Mouth feel is a full micro IPA - crisp light grapefruit and orange, very light sweetness, dry biscuit, very Saaz spicy and earthy - but without the big ooze and pine cone, it seems too miss something and not quite complete… Hoppiness is nice grapefruit and floral nose, light citrus and spicy earthy herbal taste. Liquorices is moderate for a notable and long light bitter finish; Very dry after taste, crisp and light bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one is only half successful. It is Belgian in looks, head and yeast only. Aroma is full IPA’s nice grapefruit and floral, but the IPA taste is somewhat flat and the lack of resin, pine and sweetness makes this unfulfilled. Only good looks and not much substance. Like its name, a single take of this is more than enough for me.

Pours cloudy gold with well retained off white head and good lace. Aromas of Lemon zest tropical fruit salad, grainy light toffee and toasted malts. Hints of chalky hinting of clove yeast character. Med light creamy carbonated body, light toasty graininess and a light moderate bitterness and hop character. Bitterness lingering with hints of yeast spice

360ml brown bottle. Gold pour, small white head. Nose has lime and white grape notes, some caramel and yeast as well. Taste is dryish and clean, a bit of light caramel and mild citrus. Dry finish with minerals. Light mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Hoppy belgian yeasty pale ale, good, hop aromas seem to bleed away a bit too quickly, but a nice little ale, certainly sessionable.

Bottle. Very carbonated pour, cloudy golden body, messy white head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy, citrus, light ginger. Brisk carbonation and a lighter body make for a gassy mouthfeel. Lemon-lime hop flavour, lightly spicy, low bitterness.
