The concept for our Single-Take Session Ale is this: a moderate gravity (11.7 P) Belgian-yeast fermented ale that enjoys lots of hop-flavor and hop-aroma character without exhibiting much hop-bitterness (only 20 IBUs). We want Single-Take to deliver a complex yet balanced flavor explosion that is bright and sprite and never fatiguing. A deft grist combination of floor-malted barley (Maris Otter and Bohemian Pilsner), wheat and rye provide the perfect stage upon which our whole hop actors (German Tettnanger, Czech Saaz, American Santiam and Amarillo) get to sparkle. Our Belgian yeast strain holds the entire flavor performance together with its firm, spicy and tart directorial oversight.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2015 Re-rate at Naka-meguro Taproom: More Belgian saison-like notes on the nose with some fruit, banana, lemon zest and pepper. Not much citrus, very saison like in a way. Solid and enjoyable. On tap at Nakameguro Taproom. Served in a half pint shaker. Straw-colored with a modest white head. Strong Leon, lime aroma with pine needle/resin undertones. Medium body with a nice crisp dry finish. A really good session ale.

Bottle. Slightly unclear dark orange in color with a whitish head. Bit of funky bready and lemony notes in aroma. Feels quite fresh. Grassy, slighlty yeasty spicy and biscuity feeling in taste. Bit light, but has that nice spicy kick in the end.

330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Spicy zingy zesty aroma, orange, but has a belgian twang. Pretty watery palate, blandish taste, some bread and butter, maybe some marmalade hint from the zestiness. Finish has some bitterness as well as the citrussy aromatics, but deep down it’s a bit boring. Perfectly drinkable watery golden ale, the belgian twist was nice.

Bottle. Pours a light hazy yellow. Aroma. Tropical fruits with a bit of caramel on the nose. Taste. I can taste a slight pineyness followed by a bit of pineapple, also i believe the marketing description accurately describes the taste of this beer.

Poured a cloudy, opaque honey colour with up to a six-finger light tan frothy head that retained very well but laced poorly. carbonation high with very small bubbles. Aroma of pleasant fruity hops and a hint of sweet caramel. Taste mildly sweet with light hops bitterness. Light body. Smooth, dry finish and low bitterness. A good session ale.
