3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the Baird Tasting Room in Nakameguro, in the glass there is a slight haze to the bright amber. Tons of stewed fruit and caramel on the nose. Big mouthfeel, rich and just a little salty. Some biscuityness from the malt comes through, along with berries and melons. Highly rated...and highly tasty.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The smell is of some kind of fruit and not too hoppy, which is shocking when you consider that it says IIPA on the bottle... Pours hazy with not much head. Flavour is & subtle, the hops come on later in the palate, itís very balanced. The hops flavour does stay on for a while once it starts. This one is very even tasting, but closer to just an IPA rather than and IIPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty reasonable - but not outstanding. Mixture of herbal and citrus on the nose. Creamy mouthfeel with bitter citrus. A little sweet in the mid palate, just lacking overall balance from start to finish but nice enough - while watching Californication...!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not the best IIPA I have had, but not unenjoyable. Aroma is hops with huge citrus spice, yeast and hops all over. The taste is overly sweet hops with citrus yeast spices. Okay....

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy yellow/orange. The aroma is very lemony, herbacious, and sweet. The flavor has lemon, grass, honey, grapefruit, hay and a slight bitterness. Enjoyable.

the smell of this was amazing was like opening a bag of hops, and the taste was you guessed it very hoppy, stone fruit and citrus. if you like hops then you will like this beer, had it on tap at the Popeye beer pub in Ryogoku, Tokyo and it was actually poured through cascade hop flowers off the tap. i can only hope the bottle lives up to the on tap version as i donít want to fly all the way back to japan just to have this beer again.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
pours hazy amber. Thin head. Great hop aroma floral and complex. Flavour is bold bitter and hopy. Very floral and comlex. Bitter and full with a great lingering finish. This is a nice IPA. But a poor double.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy orange, very thin head, no lacing, very soft carbonation. Nose is soft peach, mild tropical fruits, some citrus, but this is very soft-fruit driven. Spice and citrus and pine start to really put in their appearance later on, along with the malt notes. Flavours of citrus, pine, spice, much bigger in the mouth, very spicy and full, with lots of fruit and caramel. Well-balanced and flavorful.
