This brew bursts with hop character while still achieving a sublime balance due to a firm, robust malt backbone. It is a cross between an English-style and American-style India Pale Ale that is full-bodied and refreshing all at once.

0.36l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Light gushing out of the bottle, this is a blurry honey-colored one with a lacing off-white head. The aroma is really fruity-sweet and quite delicious! Peachy-sweet with both tropical pineapple and it somehow reminds me of perfume. Really good smelling! It’s average to lively carbonated with a nice oily mouthfeel. Flavors are also really fruity-hoppy with peaches and some light branches. Ends really bitter and almost kinda watery. A tasty, but mostly great smelling one from Japaaaaaaan! 16.06.2012

360ml brown bottle. Dark gold in colour, hazy. Big white head, large bubbles and lots of lacing. Nose has grainy malts, light hay notes, lemon peel. Taste has grains, lemon and grassy hops. Medium bitter finish with lasting grassy and citrusy notes, some yeast and minerals as well. Medium body, soft carbonation. Overall a decent IPA, not very aggressive but still flavourful. Could see this going well with sushi.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Clear deep golden/copper-hued body, large foamy white head. Aroma is peaches, apricot, caramel malts, hints of honey melon and freshly cut grass. Mild, but very nice. Taste is peaches, apricot, fresh grass. Bitter dry hops in the finish with a medicinal astringency in the finish. A bit too bitter on the aftertaste, otherwise nice. Medium body and carbonation. Starting out very nice, ending up as decent, but not super.

360ml bottle. There is lots of thick fluffy foam in the initial pour and the beer is a robust looking amber copper colour. A little light on aroma for an IPA however the flavour makes up for it with a nice smooth hop flavour and moderate level of bitterness.

360ml courtesy of Kermis. Decent creamy white head. Subtle citrus aroma. Hazy amber pour. Pretty nice but after the Heady Top beer it’s hard to taste the bitterness.

360ml bottle. Pours a medium amber, with a white head. Malty, grainy, quite hoppy aroma, caramel, spruce, yeast. Off-dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Hoppy, grainy taste, faintly roasted, caramel, earth, chocolate, canned peas. Odd. (2012-06-13)

Bottle, Brewdog.com shop. Dark orange pour with a biiig sullied white chef’s hat of a head. Aroma was spice, yeast, caramel malts, oak and tropical fruits. Slickish mouthfeel. Peppery fruit, more yeast and earthy hop in the flavour. Lingering bitter finish. Pretty decent stuff.
