This brew bursts with hop character while still achieving a sublime balance due to a firm, robust malt backbone. It is a cross between an English-style and American-style India Pale Ale that is full-bodied and refreshing all at once.

Bottiglia una birra che fa gridare banzai dopo averla bevuta, non il mio stile preferito ma comunque lascia note interessanti in bocca, tostata, molto amara, ricorda quasi il rabarbaro.

Bottle at Jan & Charlotte’s, Ulfborg, Denmark, 08.04.11 thanks Jan & Charlotte for this. There is a brisk hoppiness, in fact it gently numbs the tongue. Streaky citrus in the mouth and a lacing of sweetness throughout, some grapefruit, there is plenty going on here. Good stuff. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy and slightly grassy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy grassy citrus finish.

A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to Alex TPF Crew.
Fairly hazy light brown coloured with an impressive rocky and lasting white head. Very floral on the nose with a slightly soapy note and a hit of grass. Similar flavour with a very faint mineral note. Very yeasty but it’s clearly really heavilly bottle conditioned. Maybe just a touch of filtering would really make a difference. Nice and dry in the finish with an unusual bitterness that is a little brash. Not particularly outstanding in any way but pleasant enough to drink. Just a touch candied in the finish which doesn’t help it but whatever. Quite like it.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2012 Bottle, 330ml and also tap at Alehouse Project. Great beer, complex. Aromas of caramel, cherries, and a hint of pine. Taste is sweet, with balancing bitterness throughout, and very long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy white head.

Bottle at a tasting 15th of January 2011. Very surprising, havent had many japanese craft beers, but if they are like this one, give me more!!! More of an english ipa to me, with slightly muted hops, but a very well developed hop and malt combination.

Great IPA, full bodied with loads of hop aroma. Has a nice chewy mouthfeel with plenty of malt flavour there too. I’ve heard a lot about this brewery, they are really maing waves in the craft beer circles and this beer set a pretty high standard.

Just your standard but very well made IPA. Glowing orange brown in the glass - very inviting. Nose shows some fruit early but there’s a hint of mineral hoppiness to keep it serious. Much more bitter in the mouth than the nose would suggest and the hops have an almost liquered hint. Very good as per usual from these guys.
