This brew bursts with hop character while still achieving a sublime balance due to a firm, robust malt backbone. It is a cross between an English-style and American-style India Pale Ale that is full-bodied and refreshing all at once.

It’s a little bit wired, but good tasting anyway. Aroma is malty dominated with citrus and orange. Pours a nasty amber color with a zic zac head on the top. The taste is very sweet. How much sugar did they use for the second fermentation? The sweetness confused me with the IPA category of this beer.

Flaske 330ml på Bishops Arms, Luleå 14 Jun 15. Mørk aprikosfarget. Lavt skum med litt lacing. Litt uklar. Behagelig, litt forsiktig fruktaroma. Plommer. Smaken tørket frukt. Lettdrikkelig. Diffus avslutning. Gjørmete siste kvelling. Mye bunnfall.

Bottle from Ottakringer shop. Heavily lightstruck. Some caramelly maltiness remains, also minty hops in the finish. Weird and not very enjoyable.

Flaska från De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Grumlig rödbrun vätska med mastigt ljusbrunt skum. Mycket malt och karamell i doften. Smakar engelsk men med mer citrus. Är lite humletrött pga av ålder tyvärr.

I have to be honest and state that I was disappointed by the appearance of this beer. A hazy body with a covering of cream coloured head and a miasma of sizeable sedimentary flakes in the bottle. The initial impression of a vinous quality to the aroma that said that this bottle had sat for too long on the shelf. However, I quite like a bit of age in my beer and as I got on it became quite gratifying. The full body released desserty qualities and masses of APA style West Coast hoppiness. However, the overall impression was a bit of a let-down though.
