Sumomo ale in Japanese. Draught at Barley in Nishinomiya. Cloudy golden color with orange tints. Big sumomo flavor—tart, slightly sour. Yeast taste is rather dodgy in the background. Fruit flavor is nice enough, but the beer seems mediocre. A bit of a disappointment.

On tap at Naka-Meguro Taproom as Yamanashi Sumono Ale. Brewed with fresh whole Sumono plums from Yamanashi prefecture. Cloudy orange, lasting head. Fruity aroma and flavours with the plums appearing both in the mouth and in the nose. Good dryness. Interesting.

Bottle at Popeye’s. Surprisingly enjoyable "sumomo" flavoured ale. Nice balance of flavours with a strong plum aroma. Gold in colour.
