50cl bottle from Bierzwerg. BB 8/2011. Poured hazy golden with a frothy white head. Very fruity, spicy, wheaty aroma. Flavor was vwheat, banana and some yeast. Dryish finish. Great hefeweizen, very crisp and refreshing.

Quack-Duck (6811) - Down South, GERMANY - FEB 18, 2010
bottle, bought at the brewery. Cloudy pale yellow colour, large and persistent white head. Wheaty nose. Medium-bodied, malty background with a nice wheat profile and a good wheat character. Shy but pleasant fruitiness throughout. Good one.

MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 11, 2010
(bottle) Cloudy, yellow colour with a big but collapsing frothy white head. Yeasty and moderately sweet wheaty aroma with notes of citrus and lemon, accompanied by cloves and a shy touch of herbal hops. Slightly sweet and minimal sour-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Wheaty and yeasty taste with citrus and a tinge of banana, also shy spicy notes; yeasty wheaty and slightly fruity finish. A bit profane but still likeable Weizen. 02.XII.09

Bottle (courtesy of Quack-Duck!): Hazy, pale golden, quite stable loose white head; moderate citrussy-wheaty nose with a light wheaty touch; moderate sweet-sour flavour, medium bodied, a bit fizzy; short lemony-sourish finish with a tinge of yeast and a little tartness in the aftertaste. O.K., a fresh Weizen......

500 mL on tap at Smike in Rottenburg a. N. on 5/21. Hazy light yellow pour with a big white head. Light estery and spicy aroma. Flavor was yeasty and a bit spicy. Thicker mouthfeel than normal for a hefe, but that wasn’t a bad thing. Enjoyable hefe to drink.

shrubber85 (5972) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - APR 18, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2011 Bottle. Very sweet banana. orange. peach, clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy pale yellow-amber color with large head. Lightly sweet banana, moderately bitter clove and wheat malt. Medium body. A good weizen - just strange that their lower carb weizen (just called Teufels Weisse with a picture of a devil instead of the sun) seemed to have a fuller body and flavor.

The bottle looks really good. The beer in the glass also, but there could be a little bit more foam. The flavor is very hefeweizen-like, very fruity and zippy. The finish is a little bit too dry. Nevertheless a good hefeweizen.

(Bottle 50 cl) Typical unclear, fully golden beer with a surprisingly small head. Very fresh and fruity with notes of peach. Decent all right but lacks the last finesse to be truly great. 260802
