3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
An interesting and different beer. Black poor with nil significant head or carbonation. Appeared almost flat after pooring but the flatness didn’t ruin the beer in any way. Tasted of rich roasted malts with coffee and chocolate undertones but with a sweet trickle like flavor that was more notable. Was different but I found it to be really nice something very different with the mexican I was having at the time other than the usual pale ales served and associated with mexico that require a slice of something to give them any flavor.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A very dark brown beer with a brown head that disappeared as soon as it was served in the glass. Light to medium roasted aroma, light sweet taste, not much of a finish. It’s an OK beer, but nothing extraordinary.

Bottle. Pours deep black with a red tint and a small fizzy brown head that dissipates quickly with no lacing. Aroma is faint, but notes of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is medium sweet roasted malt, caramel, molasses, with a dry, lightly bitter finish. Somewhat watery on the palate.
