Slightly toasted coffee aroma and a full creamy body with a beautiful almost black and a nice tan top pouring from bottle, taste from coffee, caramel and a hint of chocolate at the end, reminded me a Guinness.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2016 Pours a dark, almost black, brown color with small tan head. Coffee, chocolate and fruity aromas, roasted malt. Toasted coffee flavor, it has more of a watery mouth feel than the classic characteristic full body that stout beer has. That is probably its weakness. Not so bad, but there are better stouts.

Dark brown, chocolate and coffee, subtle liquorice character and a long, sweet chocolatey finish. Full body. Good, complex stout.

Brown pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is light chocoffee and syrup. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, a touch of abv warmth, and grainy malt bitter finish. Medium bodied and a tad fizzy and thin.

Dark brown/black, tan head. Clean roast, earthy oats, biscuit, cocoa. Clean. A little on the thin side, but well-made overall.

Draft at brewery (summer 2013): Probably my favorite Baja beer, among the ones I sampled. Smooth and creamy with a medium-to-full body. Healthy amount of roast with hints of dark chocolate, smoke, char and touch of vanilla. Decent amount of hops to boot, with notes of grass and citrus. Tasty stuff.

Dark brown color, small brown head. Some coffeish notes, sweetish caramel. Light to medium bodied. Watery palate, some chocolate, lingering hoppyness. Clean but a bit too watery.

Keg at the brewpub - Cabo. Pours clear brown with a khaki foam head. Not bad, plenty of earth, dry roast, supple cocoa, burn tobacco, moderate sweetness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Some cocoa to finish, burnt leaves, earthy bitterness, mild tobacco. Nice.

355 ml bottle @ PBF 2013.
Pours dark red color with a small off-white head. Aroma of licorice, some tar notes, roasted malts, chocolate and malts. Flavor of malts, caramel, some chocolate and fruits. Way too thin bodied and has some off-flavors.
