1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 DrnkMcDermott (2439) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - APR 25, 2011
Half-liter bottle, $1.50 clearance @ Binny’s. Being as Cornfield has rated here and mentioned the same 4% abv as my label shows, which also has the same color scheme but only reads "Beer 1454," I’m sticking this one here. Green bottle has skunk in its neckspace, who know? Stiff peak of foam pokes out the top of the bottle as I let smell settle. Pours very pale and foamy, some bubble action, and particles in beer. Taste is insubstantial. Some malt sugar, but a lot of fusels at play here, despite a thin, watery mouthfeel. Must be a reason all these Rakovnik beers are on clearance.
