2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2012
Green 500ml bottle, best before 13th June 2008, drank on a wet and cold Jan night 2008 in Shropshire.
Poured into a small (0.2 litre) Veltins Pilsner stemmed glass three times.
Looks OK, light golden hue to the body and a white foam head which tries to stay with you, but can’t manage the whole experience.
Pilsners have no huge aroma, this one had a sweet smell, real candy sweet, too sweet for me.
The beer tasted sweet too, dry and sweet are the two main features this beer has.
Not a lot of anything to sing about in the mouthfeel stakes, watery for a 5.0% beer and no great redeeming factors for me to pontificate about.
Just another lager to add onto the huge list trying to sink us British under a sea of imported tosh.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 LookMomNoHands (577) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 14, 2012
500 ml. bottle in to a snifter. Clear golden colour with a big, fast fading white head, some laces left behind. Grasses and skunky notes in the aroma, also bread from the malts. Lightly bitter taste. Medium body with a thin feel and average carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter with a light bread note. Some malt sweetness in the far finish. Easy drinkable and refreshing - that´s it.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2012 Barva: tmavší zaltá, pěna hustá bílá, DRŽÍCÍ!. Vůně: nádherná chmelová. Chuť: hořká s dlouhým sladovým dozvukem na patře. Tohle pivo je příjemné překvapení :-)
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 coldbrewky (1155) - Saugerties, New York, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Ahhh...the familiar and reassuring Czech skunk/grass aroma as top is popped. Light to moderate gold with a crown of white head on top. Some droopy dripping lacing modulates trough the consumption experience. Saaz is tangy on somewhat boring, and streamlined base of malt. Gets one ready for the rest of the day. An easy drinking middle of the road brew.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 callmemickey (793) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2012
A: Pale golden body with just the slightest bit of haze. Large fluffy white head with great retention and dense lacing.
S: Light grain, grassy hops and a touch of skunk (but not so much as to be offensive).
T: Straight forward pale euro lager. Grain, corn, a bit of grass and some skunk. Damn green bottles.
M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Would give this some more points here if the finish was more crisp and refreshing.
O: Far from the worst euro lager. But also not the best.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 OleR (3648) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2011
0.5 L bottle bought @Pivoňka, Hradec Králové. Tall and dense, mostly lasting shiny blond head. Body is near-clear pure gold. Nice grassy hop aroma up front. Then a whiff of sweet-scented bakery, and plain barley malts. Clean and soft malt flavor. A fair amount of bittering and flavoring hops. Medium full. Mild bitterness linger in the finish. I like this one.
