At Le Baladin the beer is fermenting in wood.

Bottle at RBESG 2014. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is sweetcoen, nachos, tinned fruit, melon, candy, pear drops and icing sugar. The taste tart, apricot, acidic, tangy, white grape, dough, gooseberry and sherbet with a dry, acidic finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Odd, but not enjoyable.

A beer I paid out of my nose to drink, mostly because of the 3 brewers involved in making it, I wasn’t too impressed. I think sometimes looking for and finding archeological treasures, far outweigh having it in your hands, or on your lips in this case. Anyhow, an interesting project, but not one which makes me want to return to it.

0.75l bottle. Looks lovely in the glass with a really cloudy almost glowing orangey colored body and a huge white top that makes the same kind of noise that pop-fizz candy makes when you put it in the mouth. Unfortunately the head disappears as quick as it arrived. A really loud beer this! On the nose I get lots of interesting stuff. Mainly the orange/clementine/lemon thing dominates with alcohol, sharp yeast, some exotic spice mixture and some hay. Not bad at all. Tastes really strange. Like drinking some sort of super concentrated orange syrup. Not as alcoholic in the taste as the aroma lead to believe. Lots of sourness, the wild kind with brett and some spices. It’s above average on the fizzing bubbles and it feels light oily in the mouth. Quite woody in the finish with traces of white currants, cherries, lemon and sour leafs. Must admit that I have no idea what kind of beer this is, but I kinda like it in a suspicious and totally unexpected way. 05.01.2014

Bottle, shared with Parksy & Grippitis. Murky dull gold, no head. Sharply acetic, harsh, nearly pure vinegar, undertones of acetone. Perhaps the very most "off" bottle of beer I’ve ever tasted,

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 13.12.2013, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Big fizzy shortasting head. Aroma is sweet fruity, kind of wine-ish, dried dark fruits, honey, cereal, nuts, almond cake, broth, hay, caramel, grass, spices. Taste is kind of fizzy sour-ish like sour winegum candy, sour apples, sodapoweder, hay, apple skin, citrus peel, sorrel, grass, almond essence, hints of honey. Nice acidity, a little too fizzy carbonation. Fair enough, but very interesting. Did not expect it to taste like it did based on the aroma.

ClubGonzo (3985) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 16, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a dark-hued deep golden body with a medium frothy white head of very limited durability. Nose is honey with bees wax, saffron, nuts, grains, maize and hints of muscovado sugar. Taste is quite unique: sour berry-and-lime-like tones up front (the pomegranate, perchance?), then honey and nuts before grains and herbs take the rear. Some grass and hay tones in the aftertaste. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. Very original, and not bad, either.

Orange hazy, builds up a wonderful tanned head that just vanish after 2-3 seconds stop pouring, wow. Smells of yeast esters, berries, malts, some tart fruits. Moderate sweet, moderate sour, tart fruits and berries, quite nice. Surpricingly drinkable; good stuff

0,75 l bottle kindly shared by gunner. Hazy nut golden body with a white rim. Gymbag, fruity, berries and spices on the nose. Acidic, grapefruit, spicy, most refreshing. Impressive freshness given the alcohol. Medium body.
