COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra ad alta fermentazione prodotta con la purissima acqua Lurisia.

In contrast with its two sisters, Lurisia Otto is brewed only with locally produced barley malt and no unmalted cereals; the exceptionals qualities of the water give greater balance, harmonized by the bitterness of the Gentian root. It has a deep amber color, hazy, and persistent foam. In the nose there is light alcohol, clear fruity aroma and a woody touch. Harmonious taste, with pleasant carbonation; the lean body guarantees the high drinkability. It accompanies greatly both meat dishes and cheese. (Translated by fiulijn from original Italian text)

0.33L bottle, brought home from El Corte Inglés, Lisboa. A noisy pour, leaving a tall big-bubbled coarse blond head, which fades in seconds. Body is unclear orangey brown, with tiny bubbles rising from the bottom. Smells nice, and very unusual. A nice floral, fruity and and perfumey smell. Probably from the Gentian root added. Also a scent of toffee and gently sweet malts. Taste is dry/sweet light malty with marzipan tones, and a strange but inviting bitter-ish floral and fruity note. A quinine-like bitterness. Light in body for a 7.2 percent beer. Sparkling mouthfeel. Finishes fruity with a fresh bitterness. Beyond interesting! Good drinkability. Inviting and moreish. A nice experience.

Cloudy amber color; presence of yeast under the cap and inside the bottle neck (the bottle has been standing, undisturbed, for years). The aroma present some characterial yeast, light herbs and spices, very light sourness. Smooth mouthfeel (it still has a nice carbonation), with some caramel flavor and a light herbal background; there is some fruity trait, pleasant; the bitterness is low. Pleasant Ale, with some Belgian influences, but also a mild herbal and spicy character.

Bottle 75 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Hazy amber golden with floating impurities and an off-white head. Caramel, fruit and a little yeast in the nose. Quite full-bodied, lots of fruit and caramel. Some alcohol in the finish. Pleasant and quaffable. 030610

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a thick and tan head. Aroma is fruity yeasty, dark malty and caramelish. Yet also a bit sharp phenolic. Dense caramelish, malty and Belgian yeast fruity - much like Westvletern/Westmalle. Lasting authentic Belgian into the finish, yet again a bit too strong on the more sharp phenolic notes.

Color ambrato carico, con schiuma poco persistente. Aroma di frutta matura, leggermente speziato e con sentori di terra. In bocca il dolciastro iniziale, lascia spazio a un discreto finale amarognolo, ma persistente.
