A demi-sec ale brewed with whiskey yeasts, from the island of Islay, creating striking dryness and lively effervescence. The nose showcases almond and tropical fruits. The palate is malty, with flavors of plum, dried apricot, and spice. It’s finish is dry and warming from the high alcohol. Rare on tap!

*Bottle from Rudat. Very fruity beer with a nice and round sweetish grainy body. Caramel, dried fresh fruits and nice smooth and fruity yeast. Heavy intense thick but still easy to drink. Nice and viscous.

Viski mayası mı? Bu nasıl bir açıklama anlamadım. Renk bordo, köpük yok, vaat ettiği koku ve tatlar yok bence.. Hele ki islay??

A 0.75 l bottle that poured a hazy brownish body with small to medium sized ivory head. Dry caramelized sugar aroma, even light dog food with a grainy touch and a bit of wood. Flavor was accordingly lightly sweet, heavily toasted, yet not roasted malts with wide variety of these flavors like caramel, dried fruit, brown sugar, alcohol. Then, strong wood, almost whisky peat bitterish bite came just a bit later. Medium to full in body with a long peaty, malty and fruity sugary finish. A bit weird like most of the Baladins tend to get but this one unfortunately didn’t amaze me.

amber color orange medium dark ruby with orange reflections foam that dissolves very quickly to a thin layer. malty sweetish odor, oranges, dark fruits, apricots, nuts and yeast notes. Vigorous yet delicate. Initially malt flavor and sweet, fruity, tart, leather, spices, butter or nuts to be transformed into a tasty bitter end yeasty, predominantly sweet and pleasant. Very well balanced and tasty, uniform, but also complex. Something vinous.

Again, enormous thanks to heavy for sharing. Dark amber body, slightly hazy, tiny white head, almost none. Distinctly caramelly malty aroma, alcohol and more caramel. dry, sweetish, with notes of dates and müsli. Somewhat sugary, notes of figs. Complex and appealing. The taste is less impressive in comparison, full, nice, dry malty taste, again, a caramel bomb, notes of alcohol, sweetish. Good, but I somehow expected more.

Grumlig bärnstensfärgad öl med ett smutsvitt skum. Doft av frukt, marsipan och lätt kryddighet. I smaken tillkommer maltsötma och viss jästighet. .

Bottle @ Jacobs, courtesy of Rasmus40. Pours golden amber with a fading offwhite head. Aroma of malt caramel, little bread, sweet dried fruit, alcohol. Flavor is rather sweet, malty, caramel, little spice, sweet dried fruit, plum, raisin, alcohol. Medium to full body, rather high carbonation, sweet finish with loads of warming alcohol. 210516

Pours hazy amber with no head. Malty and vinous aroma with clear notes of dark fruits, yeast, nuts... Some roastiness as well. Very interesting. Taste is moderately sweetish with clear yeasty notes. Some bitterness accompanied by the tones of the dark fruits. Bit warmish burn in the aftertaste. Something acidic as well, but that is just a minor point. Bit dry in the end. Medium bodied, bit thinnish in texture and a bit too carbonated. That’s something that have could been much better. Yet, it is a quite well-balanced brew. All in all a very good find.
