A demi-sec ale brewed with whiskey yeasts, from the island of Islay, creating striking dryness and lively effervescence. The nose showcases almond and tropical fruits. The palate is malty, with flavors of plum, dried apricot, and spice. It’s finish is dry and warming from the high alcohol. Rare on tap!

750 ml bottle. Hazy coppery colour, thin and quickly dissipating head. Sweetish aroma of malt and ripe fruits. The flavour is sweetish malty, with raisins and dates, and a warm sweetish finish. Not bad.

750ml bottle @Olutexpo 2015. Clear golden color. Tiny to almost no head. Sweet, malty, smoky, caramel in aroma. Sourish, red currant, malty, caramel, woody in taste. Alcoholic in aftertaste. Too boozy.

750ml bottle (OlutExpo2015)
Orange, no head. Fruity estery aroma, some alcohol vapours. In the mouth, however, it’s just boozy, and sweet sticky malts. Heady and heavy. Finish sticky. Noppers, they pushed this one too far.

Corpo pieno, ben carbonata, oleosa, davvero ben fatta.

0.75 l bottle with sealed cork from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Sparkles a bit when you pour it but dies soon.Colour is dark amber. Taste is something between wine and whisky. A bit sweetish but also a bit tart. I tasted also some wood. I expected it to be more dry. Still, quite OK.

Bottle. Darker clear amber in color. Sweetish aroma, some raisins and ripe plums too. Raisins soup in taste. Smooth one. Sweet brown sugar notes. As an aperitif this one works. Bit of bitters in the end.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - L095/150 - BBE June 2017, from Alko Arkadia, 20150912) The beer poured reddish brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and nuts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, fruitiness, grass, strawberries and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, boozy, malty and bitter. An interesting and rather pleasant but bit too boozy brew.

Bottle@Brewdog. Cloudy amber color, minimal off-white head. Cellary aroma, wet stone and fruit. Surprisingly lively flavor, dates, dried fruit. Sweet, oily finish. Full body, high carbonation. Interesting. Might develop with age. Good pairing with pork.
