Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours cloudy golden with a rich and attractive eggshell head and a fruity cardomom aroma. There is an unusual fruit flavor that could be cherry or citrus with a slightly sour peppery finish. Very complex and tasty.

Bottle as al-iksir. From Pizza Port Bottle Shop. Pours hazy orange gold. Foamy light beige head. Aroma is herby - cardamom? Med body. Fairly fruity - citrus/cherry mix? Slightly sweet, followed by bitter and light astringency. A peppery spice bite on the edges of the tongue. Complex it is.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2011 Fantastica birra, ottimo aroma maltato, molto frizzante in bocca, dolce ma non stucchevole. Una birra da pasto, si abbina praticamente con tutto come uno champagne.

750ml Bottle (as Baladin Al-Iksir): Aroma of Belgian yeast, malt, and some toasting. No fruit aroma that others have mentioned. Poured orange in color with a tiny, tan head that disappeared quickly, but lasted around the edges. Cloudy. Very slightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of Belgian yeast, malt, and nothing else. Very yeasty. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Belgian yeast finish. 10%ABV is completely hidden throughout. Very little flavor aside form yeast.

Den har en ganska oljig karaktär och tillsammans med en aning varme från alkoholen (10 %) så blir det närmast en lite trappistliknande öl. Smaken är den samma som doften: nötter och frukt i en mycket trevlig kombination. Eftersmaken tycker jag kanske försvinner lite för fort, men i det store och hela en trevlig sak även denna.

RBWG 2010. Pours a hazed dull orange with a decent off white head. Aroma is funky almost a stinky sour mash used with lacto maybe infection some hints of plastic and phenols with sour malt, corn grits and DMS with sugary sweet corn syrup and phenolic Belgian yeast. Flavor is DMS, cream of wheat, light and ariy from the fizzy carbonation- tart and lightly lactic with candy sugar and aspartame fake sweetness in the end. Strange beer- not a fan.

hazy orange amber color/ white head. Citrusy, tropical fruit, sharp caramel aromas. medium bodied with soft co2. Sharp caramel flavors with sweet n’ tart fruit and spices, mild whiskey essence. good

On tap at Chirchill’s. Hazy ruby in the glass with no head. Tiny lace. Medicine/antiseptic, and alcohol nose. Taste is big alcohol in nose. Like it’s a strong BW. Also smooth like a BW. Peppery finish.
