2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 duff (5483) - St, Margarets, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2009
Bottle. Thick and alcoholic, sweet, candy-ish and malty. Pretty over the top with the yeastyness, ended up being a bit detrimental to the rest of the beer. And to much noticeable alcohol.

Sampled at the 2009 Pizza Port Belgian Fest
The flavor was a bit all over the place and nothing was bad, but nothing was impressive.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 scraff (2120) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 15, 2010
Draft – Max’s. Hazy gold, thin white head. Fresh soap bar aromas ride a light foundation of pineapple cotton candy and honeyed fuzzy fruit. Candied apricot and peach tones mingle with flavors of bready lavender throughout. Light bodied, soft carbonation, fruity finish. Strange and truly unpleasant…
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Jeppe (2633) - Ølbutikken, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2005
Pours dark orange and a fluffy off-white head. Mild fruity and bready aroma, slightly alcoholic. Citrus, yeast and hop in the flavor with notes of hay. Dry and rather rancid. Reminds me of a saison and not my kind of beer.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 mspindler (489) - Alta Loma, California, USA - MAR 29, 2009
Bottle at Pizza Port Belgian Beer Party. Apparently this is fermented with "whiskey yeast". Pours golden with a large white head. Whiskey stands out in the aroma along with some dark fruits and spices. and a touch of citrus. Flavor is really weird. Belgian characteristics are present but there’s something strangely bitter going on with alot of alcohol hotness, must be the yeast. Medium bodied with lots of carb. Didn’t really care for this one.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 JensenTaster (1718) - DENMARK - MAY 4, 2005
(on bottle) Hazy, orange with a pale white head. Has he distinct sent of a surton canadian brewery´s yeasts; vanilla-like and fat. Tart and high carbonated mouthfeel. Finishes with a orange-peel and whipd cream flavour. sugarish ending.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 27, 2006
Doughy citrus, orange-blossom, candy-like aroma with mild notes of acetone. Opaque orange copper coloured body is topped by a fizzy, off white, fully diminishing head. Initial beauty is sadly fleeting. Doughy, sweet marzipan flavour offers mild fruitiness and vanilla notes but never seems to assert itself and the aftertaste is marred by acetone-like fusels. Dry medium body with short-lived carbonation. Alcohol (other than fusels) is never apparent. Bottle sampled with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 pilsnerrogge (2142) - Finspång, SWEDEN - MAR 20, 2009
Bottled: Pours amber/orange with a slight haze. Small head. Marzipan, caramel and alcohol aroma. Yeasty, fruity caramel flavour with a boosy finish. I’m not impressed.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Glouglouburp (4773) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 19, 2008
In short: A simplistic Belgian Ale. No complexity, way too much alcohol taste.
How: Bottle. Sample at Mondial de la Bière 2008
The look: Cloudy dirty orange body topped by a very small beige head
In long: Alcohol is very present on the nose and taste. Syrupy like a 15% beer, alcohol present like a 15% beer, carbonation is very soft, doughy yeast with a simplistic taste of citrus and apricots juice and alcohol, no hops presence. Overall sensation of some kind of “shooter”. I was anxious to try to new Baladin lineup and that Elixir cured my anxiousness.
