COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat beer, revolutionary in the world of italian productions, the "Isaac Biere" present absolutely original qualities. It is, in fact, a biere blanche of obvious belgian root, with an intense fruity fragrance where the camomile and mallow stand out. Balanced taste of apricot, pear and fig with a lovely spicy note, typical for the white beer. Its quality of very pleasing and easy to drink beer and its olfactory characteristic gain it the appellation of "biere pour enfants" ( and not by chance Isaac is the name of Mastro Teo’s son). Excellent during meals it matches wonderfully first dishes and fish, while its use in cooking allows enjoyable and appreciated variations.

Pours cloudy, golden yellow with a nice off white coloured head. Nose shows mellow wit characters. Orange and lemon suported by wheat and spice notes. Palate is nice, fluffy and slightly sweet. Finishes with a good hit of yeast and hop spice and a slight wheat tang. A very pleasant drink, should have more than a 3.0 avg, but i suppose many find wit/hefe a little dull at times, me included!

Bottle sample at Beer Enthusiast Release Tasting, Bergen. Is unclear and a bit surprisingly dark straw color, and has almost no head. Have a wonderful spicy aroma of coriander, belgian yeast, sweet fruit, and some perfume towards alcohol. Good spiced and sweet flavours also, along with sweet fruit, melon, and a little bit of sweet berries that reminds me of cloudberries. Soft mouth feel and very low bitterness. A surprisingly sweet beer (almost on the edge), but nice spice notes along the way.

25cl. bottle from a local beer retailer. It pours a hazy golden-amber liquid with lots of yeast spots (some of them quite big) and a small white head that dissipates completely almost instantly and leaves no lacing at all. The aroma is very fruity, with a notable wheaty and yeasty character, along with some floral hoppiness. It leaves hints of apricot (mainly), along with some other fruits (grapes, pear), camomille and very mild spices. It tastes likewise, with some additional distant caramel touch. It is medium sweet, moderately bitter and a slight sour. In the mouth it feels softly carbonated, with oily texture a medium body and a quite dry finish, leaving an aftertaste of fruit, camomille and flowers. A new way to interpret Witbier by these italian geniuses. Not my favourite, but quite a nice and surprising brew. Presentation rocks, as always with Baladin.

Bottle (waaaaay past its use by date) -- Typical pale yellow of the style with a large white head with little retention but a fair bit of lacing and a lot of carbonation. Crisp sour aroma with a hint of coriander at the end. Palate is watery yet surprisingly round. Flavour reflects the aroma but with more obvious citrus and coriander. Not bad in small quantities by itself or in larger quantities with pizza, otherwise it would get a bit cloying. I’m not a big fan of Italian beers or this style, but this was a pleasant surprise. The beer is a hell of a lot better than the translation of the commercial description -- I tasted not a one Belgian root!
