Gyllen med et hvit skum. aroma av hvete, krydder og sitrus. Smaken følger aroma, men her er det mer aprikos og fersken.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy, semi-translucent apricot with a decent, if effervescent, eggshell head. Crisp, malty aroma has notes of pear and banana. Flavor is malty and fruity, crisp and refreshing, if not complex. Texture has average viscosity but good fizz. Love the charming little bottle - OK if all you need is a quick snort of social lubricant.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A classic in the northern Italian beer revival, named after the brewer’s son, with the underlying thought that witbier is even good for children... An experimental twist on the Belgian witbier style, with orange and grapefruit juice and refermented with a champagne yeast. Snow white, loose, dissolving head on a pale blond, misty robe with greenish hue. Interesting aroma of figs, limoncello, coriander, lavender, orange peel, aniseed, freshly cut pear, apricot, vanilla; taste a light fruitiness and sweet spiciness, freshly sourish accent, sweet lemons, light and very refreshing. Baladin clearly understands the essence of the witbier genre and this expansion of the genre is righteously famed.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Camomile floats atop this wheat beer’s creamy currents, leading to light citrus accents and much refreshment.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam covers the cloudy beige.
-The aroma and flavour profile may be linear, but they are very effective.
-The finish is soft, only faintly hoppy and herbal.
-Like many of their beers, this is very Dogfish Head-like. Creative, a penchant for sweetness, unusual ingredients, etc.
On tap at Baladin Bologna.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
from bottle at mondial 2014, mtl. hazy very pale yellow pour with a small white cap, minimal retention and lacing. fresh coriander and other italian bitter and aromatic herbs, fresh citrus skin profile, lemon peel perhaps, lightly wheaty and pale cereals base, nice fruity and spicy yeasty esters. average to moderate carbonation, light body, very lightly astringent and almost dry bitter herbal-lemony finish. good, for a wit i guess - i do appreciate the italian/sicilian touch.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Interesting tak on a wit. A little tart for the style, but a nice beer overall. Tons of aromas and flavors for such a little beer.
TECHNICAL: Drank 3/9/2013. Bottle. Poured a muddy, dark, orangey yellow with a small, off-white head. The aroma contained light wheat (?), moderate doughy and dusty yeast; pear, peach, flowers, lots of spices and lemon. The initial flavor was heavily acidic and lightly sweet and sour; while the finish was slightly sweet, moderately acidic and heavily sour. There was wheat, lemon, yeast, lost of spices, a way more sour lemon, sour apple, peach and pear. The light to medium body was very dry with extremely fizzy carbonation and a dry finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
25 cl bottle from Eataly (€ 2,50) in Torino, June 2014. Pours a beautiful hazy light amber with small white head. A modest aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice in the distance and wheaty, sour/spicy in the fore. More sweet as it warms. Taste is hay, wheat, sour. Low medium body, somewhat watery, very little carbonation. No noticeable alcohol. Prickly and spicy, dry finish. Wheaty dry mouthfeel, sour. Forgettable but not bad.
