COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat beer, revolutionary in the world of italian productions, the "Isaac Biere" present absolutely original qualities. It is, in fact, a biere blanche of obvious belgian root, with an intense fruity fragrance where the camomile and mallow stand out. Balanced taste of apricot, pear and fig with a lovely spicy note, typical for the white beer. Its quality of very pleasing and easy to drink beer and its olfactory characteristic gain it the appellation of "biere pour enfants" ( and not by chance Isaac is the name of Mastro Teo’s son). Excellent during meals it matches wonderfully first dishes and fish, while its use in cooking allows enjoyable and appreciated variations.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty beige colour ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry Belgian malt with light fruity ester. Taste is not as complex as I would have expected with typical Belgian malt with a rather semi-dry aftertaste. Body is above average with good carbonation. I would have never guessed the style I had not check back on Ratebeer. The aroma of cloves, wheat and coriander is totally absent from this beer.

Fra flaske på Cardinal i møte med bryggeren selv, Teo Musso. Meget velduftende og lettdrilkelig, et supert sommerøl. " duften av Middelhavet" var målet med dette ølet iflg TM.

750 ml corked and waxed bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, large white head. The aroma is distinctly spicy and rather yeasty, notes of coriander, hay and citrus. Fairly light bodied. The flavour is medium dry and refreshing with notes of coriander (less prominent citrus), short finish. A decent enough witbier - but is it that much better than other witbiers to make the higher price acceptable?

Bottle. Orange and cloudy, with a not insignificant amount of sediment. The subdued aroma hints at herbs and fresh cut grass. But on the palate, this is much quite fruity, apricot surely, lemony even. Whatever herbs may be here adds only the merest overtone, not enough to earn a "spicy" label, but rather "seasoned" ... IMHO. Nice little refreshing quaff. (#4602, 5/23/2012)

Bottle from Great Grog. Slightly cloudy yellowy amber, thin white head. Lovely perfumed, juicy nose - yeah big bergamot, nice hint of juniper, really fresh, some lemony hops, some ginger, pot pourri! Nice juicy front, slighty sweet malts but well balanced with a perfumed characteristic and a chalky dryness, slight tannins too. Not very "wit"-y, but easily my favourite Baladin beer so far.

Cloudy wheat / white beer - lots of apricot. Very similar to Upland Wheat, or Hitachino white.

Sampled from 0.75l bottle @ Beer Enthusiast release party. This one pours a heavy hazy almost muddy straw-golden body with a small quickly sidesticking off-white head. Really spicy on the aroma! Tons of coriander seeds, herbal grass and lots of sweetish wheat. Not bad - but extreme. It has a strange texture; oily but really fluffy? And, it has a nice average carbonation level. Strong on the flavors also, tons of coriander seeds, a bit yeasty with melon zest and it ends quite dry-ish in the mouth. A intense and quite special wit. Not bad. 23.04.2012

Bottle sample at Beer Enthusiast Release Tasting, Bergen. Is unclear and a bit surprisingly dark straw color, and has almost no head. Have a wonderful spicy aroma of coriander, belgian yeast, sweet fruit, and some perfume towards alcohol. Good spiced and sweet flavours also, along with sweet fruit, melon, and a little bit of sweet berries that reminds me of cloudberries. Soft mouth feel and very low bitterness. A surprisingly sweet beer (almost on the edge), but nice spice notes along the way.

25cl bottle from Le Langhe, York. Pours a hazy blonde colour with a fair white head. A lovely fruity aroma of Bergamot, apricot, ginger and caramel. Similar flavours with pear and fig notes coming through also. There is a definite tea character to this. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Very nice with a dry, tannic finish. Not usually a style I’m fond of but this is really interesting.

Bottle. Hazy lemon yellow with a lasting white head. Lovelynose. The Bergamot is prominent. Makes for a seriously Earl Grey experience. A delicate malty sweet balance. Wonderful stuff.
