COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Blended version of Lune. Barley Wine aged in white wine barrel. Limited (brewed once).

Pours hazy amber red with no head. Aroma of white wine, some fruit and yeast. Taste is sweet of wine, prunes, caramel, vanilla. Full body and there is so much flavors. No carbonation. The taste is much better than the smell because there is to much wine in the aroma. I have never tasted anything like this before.

(Bottle) Copper/amber colour, flat with no head. Fruity, vinous nose with notes of white wine, dried fruit, raisins, brown sugar, oak wood and hints of toast. Fruity, vinous taste with dried fruit, raisins, figs, oak wood, green apples, burnt sugar, sweet Sauternes wine and a vinous finish with a warming alcohol glow. Almost full body, fairly sweet. Well made and tasty barley wine with the white wine barrels giving it an elegant touch. Quite impressive and excellent.

Bottle from Systembolaget, bought in December 2012. A bit hazy light brownish/amber with no head. Aroma of dried fruit, toffee, apples and dessert wine. Similar taste. Sweet and with no carbonation. Vinous and with warming alcohol. Smooth and a nice one to sip.

@ Gyllenbock 15-6-6: en mycket komplex doft av socker och torkat frukt. Smaken är mycket len, alkoholen känns inte alls, utan en enbart trevlig len smak av frukt och mjuk kola. Mycket gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

olio (7424) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 30, 2015
10 cl sample, 2010 vintage @ Open Baladin.
Pours pale murky brown color with no head. Very odd aroma, vinous, woody, sweet fruity and earthy. Sourish taste with earth and white wine notes, some fruity notes too. Not your typical BW.

10 cl sample @ Baladin Open, Rome as "Lune 2010". Aroma has ripe fruits, peaches and hints of hay. Flavour has bitter booze notes, grapefruit and citrus. Also white wine. Possibly infected. Gets better when it warms up though.

Bottled. Pours clear, deep golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, wood, grapes and vanilla. Sweet flavor that ends up slightly more dry and with some bitterness. A great Barley.

Probably the most expensive beer Iíve had to date...shared by Nick at the Pig in Boca. Small snifters. Pours an orange-brown with decent transparency. No head or lacing. Aroma is nutty, bourbon barrel, port wine, butter, and breakfast roll. The taste is good with a nice bourbon barrel, nuttiness, port wine sweetness, and slight buttery finish. Absolutely no carb which I missed. Slight papery taste (oxidation maybe?) Rather boozy finish. Overall good.

2012 version On tap at Baladin, aged in white wine barrels. This 11.5% barleywine pours a mellow orange gold with s nutty honey maple aroma full bodied silky mouthfeel. The taste is sweet heavenly honey maple with an astringent wine like finish. † This is a wonderful beer.
