Sigmund (4814) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 22, 2012
Shared 750 ml bottle, imported to Germany by BraufactuM. Bought at Citti-Markt Flensburg. Orginal bottle No. 42311. German bottle No. 313. ABV is 9%. Cloudy orange colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of honey and herbs. Plenty of carbonation. The flavour is not nearly as sweet as I feared, but has distinct notes of heather honey and various herbs. Unusual and interesting.

Shared bottle at Sigmunds place. Pours hazy golden with a small white head.Aroma is light sweet honey, weak herbal. Taste is initially sweet, almost balanced, but the honey plays the leading man here, slightly yeasty, light alcohol burn at the end. Not my cup of tea.

Bottle - Smells of honey, straw and a slight earthiness. Bright orange with floating bits, making it look more like a tropical mixed drink. Small head that disappears quickly. Honey, spice and fruit to taste. Very sweet with no bitterness. A unusual beer to be sure, not one I would drink again.

Bottle, shared at RBAG Summer Session 2012. GUSHER!!...then rapidly collapsing bubbly head atop a murky honey-gold body. Honey sweet malt flavour, lightly spicy nuances, slightly medicinal hoppy end. For starting off as a gusher, this beer settled out nicely with just enough carbo to lift the sweet profile.

Bottle, 75cl, as Erika. An orange-golden beer topped by a big, fluffy, off-white head leaving lacings. Lots of microfloaties. Belgo-like aroma with sweetness, floral honey and some citrusy hints. Someone just mentioned it was at 9% ABV, wouldn’t imagine that, as it hides the alcohol really well. Pleasant, balancing bitterness towards the end, with something honey-like maltyness as a foundation. Sort of like honey corn. A bit uncertain about this one. I like it, still I’m not really sure. 120804
