COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first 100% Italian beer made with Italian ingredients. An intentionally simple beer: Italian water, barley malt, hops, yeasts and two Italian spices (bergamot and coriander) which combine to create harmony and originality. A beer which suggests more or less daring combinations, but more importantly marks a turning point in the Italian production of craft beer. Nazionale, is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with any dish. 13.6° EBC 10

330 ml bottle purchased and drank while traveling on a train. That’s pretty cool. Deep gold, extremely hazy, with a huge, fluffy, forever lasting white head. Great lacings. Fresh/wet hop notes, in that funky and cheesy way. Quite earthy and spicy overall, not so much on the fruity side. Estery (Belgian-ish) and nutty in the background. Slightly astringent upfront, chunky mouthfeel, honey like sweetness, lingering herbal, peppery and almost chili like aftertaste. I wasn’t expecting any warming sensation considering the ABV, but there is a hint of it. Average to lively carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Complex and dynamic beer, too heavy on the spices for my liking, but not bad at all.
