The first 100% Italian beer made with Italian ingredients. An intentionally simple beer: Italian water, barley malt, hops, yeasts and two Italian spices (bergamot and coriander) which combine to create harmony and originality. A beer which suggests more or less daring combinations, but more importantly marks a turning point in the Italian production of craft beer. Nazionale, is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with any dish. 13.6° EBC 10

Cloudy blond color. This beer has a character of puke, straws, yeast. Bottle shock or real poor beer?

2012-06-17, bottle from Eataly, Bologna; Raccolta Luppolo 2011, 4.5% ABV, 7-4-7-3-14=35
Cloudy bond color with creamy white head, persistent. Mild aroma, some spicy malt and fruity hop, apricots. The mouthfeel is quite astringent because of the high yeast presence; spicy malt flavor, very Belgian, with a moderately sweet and fruity final.
Yeasty and spicy Ale.

White, frothy, rocky, fairly fine head. Straw yello, cloudy. Fairly intense and persistent at nose. Herbal, straw, white flowers, citrus, jasmine. Highly carbonated. In the mouth is a marriage between sweet and bitter with a fine bitter in the finish

A simple beer as intended. Light Belgian fruity yeast but also a German feel to it. Pale malts, good drinkable body. Soft carbonation, could be heavier for me. And could be more bitter but that would defeat the purpose of this beer I suppose... (Stylish bottle from Saveur Bière)

Keg at Taphouse, CPK, 03/05/15. Golden copper with moderate off white spotting and Edgeworth. Nose is light caramel, biscuit, straw. Taste comprises caramel, sweet licks, light fruit, fig biscuit, sugary apricot jam. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Pretty basic, overly sweet, not well joined up. Med.

At a tasting, thanks, small stable bubbly head, cloudy and a little deep yellow color, aroma of sourdough bread, yeast, rubber, fruit and some paper in the back, flavor of fruit and minerals, with some yeast and almonds, feels a bit heavy. Nice but a little unbalanced, could be better.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks troubles. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of coriander, yeast, a bit of citrus. Yeasty flavor, spicy, with a bitterish touch and a citric note. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation.

330 ml bottle purchased and drank while traveling on a train. That’s pretty cool. Deep gold, extremely hazy, with a huge, fluffy, forever lasting white head. Great lacings. Fresh/wet hop notes, in that funky and cheesy way. Quite earthy and spicy overall, not so much on the fruity side. Estery (Belgian-ish) and nutty in the background. Slightly astringent upfront, chunky mouthfeel, honey like sweetness, lingering herbal, peppery and almost chili like aftertaste. I wasn’t expecting any warming sensation considering the ABV, but there is a hint of it. Average to lively carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Complex and dynamic beer, too heavy on the spices for my liking, but not bad at all.
