Rich, ripe fruit aroma. Duvel associations, but rich, many layered. Long furity and dry finish. Very refreshing.

750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. Very yeasty and very spicy aroma, strong notes of coriander and cloves. Very dry flavour, very yeasty and very spicy again. As I am not Italian, Teo Musso & Co. will have to forgive me for not being emotional about all ingredients being Italian home grown. A drinkable beer of course, just not Baladin’s best.

750 ml @ Beer Entusiast tasting at Sundbytunet. Hazy yellow/orange body with a big, creamy white head. A bit strange but fascinating aroma of spices, herbs, citric fruit, mild grainy and yeast. No strong aroma but gentle and complex. Flavor is soft malty, yeast, spices citric fruit and definitively lemon. As the aroma promise the flavor is mild and ingratiating with lots of complexity, not too much of anything. Medium body and a very pleasant aftertaste in the same subdue way. A bit strange and almost anonymous in the start, then lots and lots of small flavors. This is a really nice Saison in my mouth.

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear one, yellowish golden in color and with a two-finger white head that lasts. Some citrus, white sugar, peppery hops and grainy maltyness. Quite dry on the palate, full body. Quite malty flavor, with lemon zest, a spiced touch and some lightly grassy hints. Could maybe be a bit drier, but it’s certainly a nice one. 120505

Draught at Open Baladin Roma. Clear pale amber with a foamy head. Aroma of minerals, peach cobbler, grass, oily. Dry, mineral, spice-herb flavor. Quite herbal, actually, with some vanilla. Complex and a bit strange. Dry, spicy. Silky, oily palate. Interesting, but not perfect. Rather plain.

Bottle in Rome. Noted as 6.5% abv. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Crisp palate, semi dry with a carbonated sting. Pale malt with mild wheaty citrus and a little spice. Finishes crisp with some minerals and a whisper of banana. An ordinary brew but clean, crisp and refreshing.

Cloudy light amber colour. White foamy head. Aroma is moderately malty with fruity (apples), light orange peel, spicy and hoppy notes. Flavor is hoppy with light yeasty and fruity (apricots), ending in a bitter finish. Light to medium bodied.
