On tap at Eataly. A dark chocolate brown pour. Malty pitted fruit with a coffee edge. Medium bodied with a round carbonation. The taste is the same with some spice, the coffee & cocoa really come through in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2014 75cl bottle. Pours hazy dark cola brown with one finger of quickly disappearing bubbly light beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, molasses, light roastiness, some alcohol. Taste is sweet malts and caramel again, light dark fruits notes, light coffee. Sticky sweet aftertaste, nice final bitterness with some roasted notes. Medium body, low carbonation. Too unbalanced on the sweet side as common with Baladin?s beers.

On bottle at christmas beer tasting with friends; thanks Fredrik! Hazy dark brown color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; dried fruits, malt, some vanilla and mild coffee. Some immediate sweetness, doesn't quite balance it out. Enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark olive green bottle with embossed Baladin logo, poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is opaque dark brown with a medium sized creamy tan head with good retention. Aroma of caramel, syrup loaf, raisins, muscovado. Flavours of muscovado, raisins, caramel, coffee, syrup loaf and a hint of nutty notes. Taste is medium-light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, creamy texture and average carbonation. Overall a good beer, would maybe have been better a little less sweet.
