Bottle 1500ml. @ The Danish Summer Gathering, TTODRBSG10 - Ulfborg.

Clear medium brown color with a average to large, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate malt, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate, mild coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100814]

Hand bottled. Thanks to all involved. A dark amber beer with a bit of sediment floating around. The aroma has notes of alcohol, caramel, grapes, and a touch of fruit. The fruit is sweet with strong notes of strange spice combined with notes of caramel, malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 150 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy and opaque brown with lots of sediments and a small and lacing off-white head. The nose has roasted malt, brown sugar and some sweet coffee. Medium body, almost flat, sweet overripe dark fruit, chocolate milk and sweet coffee. No bitterness. 140810

1.5 L bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours hazy dark brown with a fully gone head. Aroma is spiced, roasted malt and slight chocolate. Mild annis seed, chocolate and caramel malty. Sweet and mild spiced into the finish.

Handbottled from a bottle at yespr. Clear orange red coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel and coffee with notes of dried fruits and alcohol. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet finish of coffee.

Bottle, 9%. Mildly roasted and slightly chocolaty aroma. Cloudy brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour starts off sweet, has a little brown sugar. OK good hint of yeast. Mild fruity notes, but balanced off by the maltiness. Good alcohol burn in the finish.

Hazy mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with toasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. Finished sweet.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2010. 1,5L Bottle. Pours muddy amber with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is fruit and alcohol. Sweet malty nose and flavor with some caramel, yeast and some spices. Full bodied. Tasty . . one of the better Baladin’s iv’e had in a while!

Bottle, 150cl, courtesy of Brugmansia. 2007 vintage. A quite hazy one, microfloaties too, amber in color and with a nice, small, beige head. Lots of coffee on the nose, with bonfire-like burnt scents, dryish and cocoa-ish. Some faint notes of alcohol too. The flavor has a certain sweetness, but it’s mostly dry, cocoa, coffee and some burnt malts. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated, some alcohol warmth. Sweetness, coffee and cocoa in the finish. A beer that doesn’t look good, but the taste and aroma is really nice. 100814

cloudy caramelly brown, almost no head aroma is spicy, hoppy flavor is spicy, fruity.
