Versione della Noel migliore rispetto all’originale (che trovo un po’ anonima); in questa il sapore maltoso si lega perfettamente con l’aroma di cacao, non prepotente.

Pours cloudy brown with a off-white head..Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottled@Yespr’s blindtasting. Amber colour, small off-white head with a bunch of floaties. Aroma is fruits, wood, yeast and some caramel and chocolate. Flavour is chocolate, caramel, mild wooden notes as well as some syrup and yeastyness.

Bottle 150 cl. Blind tasting. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an opaque brown with a ton of floaties and a small off-white head. Dry, nutty aroma, brown sugars and a little yeast. Medium body, dry overripe fruit, nuts, yeast, slightly tart with some phenols. The finish has both hops and alcohol. Quite interesting. 260511

Bottle, 150cl, corked. 2008 vintage. It’s a murky brown beer with a dense, but small, beige head. Chocolatey aroma with a nice hoppyness. Some alcohol too. The flavor has a nice blend of chocolatey maltyness and hoppy bitterness, with some grapefruit hints and alcohol. Warming and full-bodied. A quite nice one, but a bit chocolatey and malty. Wouldn’t mind having it again though. 110820

(Magnum 2005) Beige weak head. Dark brown colour. Aroma is malty, fruity (banana) with chocolate and earthy nots. Flavor is malty too with candy and dark fruity tones, ending in a moderately sweet finish. Full bodied.

Cloudy brown with a small white head. Aroma of chocolate, dried fruit and yeast. Sweet and full bodied fruity and malty flavour with a hint of chocolate and more than enough yeast flavour.
