Aroma initially characterized by pepper that fight in a field ruled by a rich fruity fragrance of dried fruits with ripen banana, toffee and a soft sweet chocolate fragrance. The attentive taster shouldn’t miss a sharp floral of rose and a sensation of must of wine always pleasant.

Nice package, and well done. Cloudy brown with decent head and lacing. Some toffee and a little bit of dried dark fruit. Comes together well. Thick pour. Light sweet finish. Well-balanced, and a touch of spice. Tap at Churchkey.

It pours a cloudy dark brown, small head of foam, near no lacing left behind. Smells of dark fruits, yeasty, some spice, almost a tartness to it. Fruit is light in the taste as is everything else. A bit of a shy brew except for the abv. I get some bready notes from time to time as I do some vanilla notes. Very slight tartness. Pretty light bodied with, I think, too much carbonation. Not bad but not worth the $$$

Backlog rating. Keg at FOB, Rimini. It pours a clean amber color with a small beige head. Aroma is quite sweet and earthy with notes of caramel, ripe peaches, dried fruits, dates. Taste is sweet and fruity with apricots, dried leaves, wet soil, citrus peel, licorice root. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, tasty

Pours dark brown with minimal white head. Aroma is complex, some dark fruits, caramel, chocolate with hints of alcohol. Very balanced flavour, really good. Deserty, like cookies.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2014 750ml bottle poured in a mug. A: Pours a deep dark amber color. Many particles floating. Head is beige and bubbled. Medium size, small retention and practically no lacings S: Sweet. Caramel, caramel malts, dark fruits (mainly raisins). Yeasts and flowery hops T: Caramel malts, yeasts and dark fruits. Mild sweet upfront. Moderated bitter aftertaste. Some alcoholic notes in the end. An authentic Belgian strong dark ale :) M: Medium body and carbonation. Lighter than I was expecting from a 9% ale. Good sweet-bitterness balance O: High drinkability. My favorite Italian brewery [ BA Review @ 1/3/2012 ]
