COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aroma initially characterized by pepper that fight in a field ruled by a rich fruity fragrance of dried fruits with ripen banana, toffee and a soft sweet chocolate fragrance. The attentive taster shouldn’t miss a sharp floral of rose and a sensation of must of wine always pleasant.

Bottle. Poured brown color with an average fizzy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Good complex fruit and malt aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium sweet chocolate flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Very interesting beer.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy dark nut brown colour with a small light beige head. Aroma of leather, chocolate, dried fruit, spices, alcohol and nuts. The flavour is much alike and is pretty malty but not that complex. Has a slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. Has a decent balance but a bit one dimensional. Would maybe improve by aging.

750 ml bottle as Leon. Unclear brown/amber body with a decent off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, dry fruit and Belgium yeast. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, dry fruit, candy sugar, yeast and some warming alcohol. Fine body with a long and sweet aftertaste with hints of alcohol. Nice Belgium style strong ale, a bit more rustic than usually from Baladin.

Murky brown with a decent beige head. Aroma of caramel/roasted malts, fruit, some alcohol and Belgian yeast. The taste is nicely balanced and smooth with light roasted malts, some caramel, the Belgian style yeast, light hoppy finish with hints of fruits and chocolate. Pretty nice beer actually, I prefer this one to the vanilla Xmas edition.

Bottle shared by Simonsen as Baladin Leon
Dark brown, tanned head. Smells of dark fruits, malts, roast and some hops. Medium sweet, fruity with some plums, hints of roast as well. Moderate bitter, fruit bitterness. This beer was a yule seasonal as origin - i think it’s better of without that heritage. A nice beer
