Bottle. Fat fruity, spicy aroma, reminds me of Triple Karmeliet. Hazy orange, no head, yeastclumps a bit hard to avoid. Dry fruity body, tropical - pineapple, ginger, herbal bitterness, light yeasty salt. Mellow sparkly mouthfeel, pleasantly dry on the palate. Quite pleasant.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Niko100 (1084) - New York, USA - AUG 3, 2011
Nice gold/orange color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of malt, some yeast, fruit, & spice; Flavor of sweet malt, honey, fruit, spice, citrus (notably tangerines), and some coriander; Finish is slightly tart/sour; Overall, interesting brew - decent.

Pours a honeyed orange with very little head. Aroma is dominated by citrus. Flavor profile features apricots & peaches, a touch of honey, and something slightly medicinal - ginger perhaps. Finish is incredibly smooth, just a touch of wheat. No hops to be found.
Because the bottle was so dark and the name is "Nora", and because I hadn’t researched this beforehand, I expected this to be a dark ale. And I decided to eat some dark chocolate with it. When I realized it was instead a spiced ale, I was so committed to the chocolate that I stuck with it, even though it seemed like a strange choice. Actually, it worked quite well. Brought out the citrus acidity and wheat flavors.
Overall, a very nice beer. But at the Italian-style price of $6 for an 8oz. bottle (take-out), the value is a bit dubious.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Benzai (2298) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUL 26, 2011
Hazy yellow color. Don’t like the smell and taste; spicy. Not sure what it is, I had written down ginger and cinnamon, but according to the description it’s ginger and myrrh. Average body and carbo.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Zindre (4) - ITALY - JUL 10, 2011 does not count
Aroma: A lot of banana, some resin, some grass. Appearance: Amber, slightly hazy. A very small but nice and stable head. Taste: Medius sweet, medium bitter, medium sour. Some umami. Palate: Full bodied, a bit oily, fizzy, long. Recommended for its unique grassy character.

This beer is quite herbal. You can smell and taste those very well. Reminded me a bit of the incense they sometimes light and wave around in church. Think it’s quite a good beer, but i didn’t like these (to me) weird herbs in it.
