4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 JohnC (2910) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - OCT 2, 2003
This is truly a unique beer. Either you are going to *really* like it; or you'll dump it, in my opinion.
Appearnce: Nora pours a hazy golden with a large white head. The head quickly dissapates.
Nose. The aroma is quite interesting. It's a sweet/dry/herbal/floral smell. It almost reminds me of Campari. I can't quite place it, but I like it.
Flavor: It's highly carbonated, complex, and well balanced. The use of hops for bitterness is replaced by herbs and this makes a nice change.
Highly Recommended.
Penso che questa birra abbia un sapore magnifico!
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 theakston (64) - arlington, Virginia, USA - SEP 26, 2003
dark orange glow with a creamy growing head. Aroma of peaches. Taste has a nice balance of sweet and sour with a mild yeast taste. Some liquorice in the aftertaste. Didn't really get the kamut grain - not sure what it is either.
Good alcohol strength, not hidden but not over the top.

Sweet bread and peaches aroma. Fruity apricot/ peach flavor with very little lace. Pours a cloudy golden amber.

large yeast scent, deep blonde amber color with a thin head, sour oddly spiced citrus funk, i dont really know what to think of it, medium carbonation, there is not much else left to say kind of bland and sour esp. for $14.99
2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 npdempse (932) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - JUL 21, 2003
Dark amber, light white head. Nose is semi-sweet, like an OK white wine, with some apple notes. Flavor is odd, kind of like white wine with hints of grass; a light sweetness. Medium bitterness. Unbalanced, with weird spices, apple notes. Final analyis: Kind of icky (& way overpriced).
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Slick (1971) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - JUN 12, 2003
Nice orange color, small white head, highly carbonated apperance, malty, hoppy aroma, slight fruit tone to it as well.Mlaty sweet taste with a slightly fruity, possible orange or lemony apperence, mild spice to it as well.there also appears to be a slight almost acidic feel to this brew,it's not bad, just different. The after taste is fruity mildly sweet with a slight hop bitterness to it and some spice jumps in to give it a very well rounded after taste showing a good complexity for this brew and making it well worth the big bucks it took to aquire it.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 3, 2003
Like the cap, sounded like a champagne bottle. The first pour was hazy golden. This darkens a touch with each addition. Heady brew with a light cream color and sheets of lace. Aroma grabs your attention from the start. Initial dry wite wine aromas, followed by, roses, pineapple, star fruit, kiwis, coconuts and easter lilies. Flavors of pineapple seem to dominate. Perhaps it is the acidic charateristic of pineapple that I notice. Clove flavors and a hint of ginger are in the finish. Lot of fruity flavors and a finish taste of spice. Interesting, yes. Complex, yes. Strange, somewhat. Worth the price, most likely not. This is one of those beers that needs to be doled out in smaller wine glass to be paired with grainy breads, aged cheese and hummus. Give this to a wine snob and tell them to analyze, it will drive them crazy.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TAR (2236) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - FEB 20, 2003
Light orange. Quick, fizzy foam. Lively aroma. Full of firm, triplish character above a huge base of mint, tobacco, cinnamon, clove, wax, cardboard, and holly leaf. Light earthy qualities. Fizzy, watery palate. Flavors begin very herbal, before a semi-fruity star anise transition alongside mild tanginess, dried banana, pepper, and tobacco notes. Minerals and carrot cake abound the round, Oerbier-like finish. Again, some vague earthy qualities. Reminds me of a Steinbeer, which is nice. A somewhat disappointing artisinal stab for $12 a bottle.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Voivod (304) - Como, ITALY - FEB 20, 2003
Deep amber colour with good head, quite persistent. The aroma is fruity and acidic. The taste is complex, very fruity with traces of apple, peach, citrus and orange. Quite bitter finish, while the aftertaste has a strange, light, root flavour. Strange beer, but really pleasant!
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 leaparsons (6323) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2003
Oh, seems like I am rating this low compared to you lot! Anyhow, in my view, this has a poor aroma and a wit-like appearance. The mouthfeel is soapy and the flavours light and spicy. Alcohol is not noticable. A merely OK beer.
