Med ölföreningen julen 2013. Smak och doft av päron, ingefära, honung, blommor, örter och jäst. Tvålig och frisk. Mycket trevlig.

Cloudy dark orange, not much head. Nose is yeast and spice. Sweet. Middle is creamy with hints of orange, roasted grain, and candy sugar. Finish is lightly bittersweet and lingering. I needed a corkscrew for this one; don’t be afraid it was not over pressured. Was great with a carbonara.

Piwo o dziwnym zapachu plasteliny i plastiku. W smaku wyczuwalem chyba cos jakby przyprawe kurkumy. Piana srednia malo trwala. kolor pomaranczowy, przybrudzony i metny. W smaku zdecydowanie przyprawowe.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a clear yellow golden color with a larger white head that leaves sticky lace. The aroma and flavor have herbal and grassy notes, dry pale malts, some ginger, mild bitterness. I liked the sour version better.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good; a lightly cloudy light burnt orange with thin white head that dissipates into lacing fairly quickly. Smells of mild ginger and mildly sweet malt. Tastes like it smells with a bit of caramel. Average on the palate. Alright.

Poured a clear deep gold body with an average sized frothy mostly white head. Aroma of honey, fresh dough, slight nutts. Good body with an average mouthfeel and average carbonation, finishes full. Flavor is sweet honey over hearty grainy bread and a touch of nutts. Decent stu

On tap at Dutch’s. Totally hazy darker orange color. Thin off-white head, couple dots of lace. Good, bright gingery aroma, kind of lightly spicy grain notes, some orange citrus. Good herbal flavors. Medium to bigger body, lightly slick. Light carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink, only lightly spicy. Moderate sweet taste, light herbal bitterness. Interesting, unique, distinctly ethnic ale.

Draft to a plastic cup @ Nippon Craft Beer Festival 2014. Presented as a "secret beer" - Nora Egyptian Ale. Wow, this one has a strong bee-wax smell coming off already in the beginning. There are some nice cherry notes also underneath. Beer looks nice also, had some nice foam even is a plastic cup, otherwise looks hazy copper. Taste - this is mead, not beer. I am 100% sure that there is honey inside. It also has some softer fruit notes and lingering sweet honey at the end. Some peach and biting alcohol just a millisecond before the aftertaste. Surprisingly good and interesting - could be even better without this alcohol bite at the end.
