A fine bevuta mi lascia perplesso.

Wonderful amber color. Spicy smell reminiscent off old times spice drawers. Cool crisp taste with lingering aftertaste. A good stand-alone-beer or as accompaniment for spicy foods.

Bottle from a friend. Smell is citrusy, some wheat and slightly acidic. Pours dark orange with a rich yellow head. Sweet taste, some wheat and malts, some caramel and citrus. Palate is slick and sweet. Overall a nice beer. Smells very inviting and does offer a nice taste

@ Havregatan 141022. Bottle (750 ml) from Systembolaget (80:-). Spicy and sweet malty with yeasty and fruity notes, quite sweet, medium body with a watery to oily texture. The finish is dry, sweet and spicy. Quite odd, but I like it.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2014 750ml bottle poured in a chalice. Excellent beer, despite of the hype around Baladin. This first experience with Nora specimen was quite a surprise. Curious to drink the Super and the Xyauyù... (next reviews :)) A: First of all, the bottle art: Beautiful. A beer with such a "visual" cannot be a bad one... Pours an orange color with a fluffy and bubbled white head which does not remains for long and disappears leaving no lacings... Many particles floating around S: Once opened, it spreads a nice perfume of herbs... Licorice, ginger, coriander(?), honey, etc. The spices blend quite well with the malts. Earthy yeasts tone can also be felt. Sweet: First impression is of a Belgium Saison T: Sweet malts, honey and spices. Licorice is a must. Very herbal as the nose. Earthy. Very Complex. Good blend with the malt taste. Very light bitterness (by the style, I guess). No alcohol felt M: Medium to heavy body. Very molasses (heavy mouth sensation). Good carbonation. Liquor sensation D: High. Delicate and well done. It brings good reputation to the new generation of Italian beers... :) [ BA Review @ 9/19/2010 ]

Interesting beer although according to its commercial description I have no idea what Myrrh represents. Aroma's heavy grain and malt. Poured with a modest off-white, Long lasting head, almost no lace and a hazy/cloudy amber color. flavors like aroma again heavy on the grain and just enough carbonic tang to balance, a smidgen of bitter. Excellent body. For me not really a session beer but certainly is an interesting beer to try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
