Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a trace of a white head that left no lacing. The aroma was sugar, candied pear, alcohol, yeast and plum. The flavor was sugar, plum, candied pear, yeast, apple and noticeable alcohol. The finish was long and sugary with a bit of pear. Full bodied. Ok.

Bottle poured into a tulip glass. Aroma is sweet and spicy. Notes of ginger and funk are present. The beer pours a golden color with a bubbly white head. Chunks of yeast float around despite a gentle pour. Taste is kind of sour, with the ginger on the back end. The beer is like a Trippel and sour combo with lots of carbonation. Lighter to medium body with lots of carbonation that keeps bubbling. Overall, this is one interesting beer, but not sure I really like it. It was pricey, so I doubt I buy it again, but is definitely unlike anything else I have had from Italy. Not bad, but not great.

Bottle: Poured a clear light golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with some light fruity notes. Taste is sweeter then expected with a solid malt backbone and some light fruity ester. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed though too sweet for my own taste and different malt are hard to distinguish.

Bottle. 16.9 oz. Split with Vin as the last beer of our February Shore Tasting. This beer opened with a soft hiss and pop, and poured a transluscent honey, sparkling golden with a frothy, yet neat, tightly bubbled white laced out head. Aroma of freshly cut cedar, pineapple, grass, lemon zest, soft hay, barnyard funk, champagne yeast and ripe peaches and apricots. Hints of mango and bubblegum. Very similar nose to Cigar CIty Humidor Series Gruit, my favorite beer of all time. Medium bodied with a light, soft, gently fruity and woody mouthfeel. Cedar and lemon notes dance upon the tongue and crash with a dry wave upon the back of the tongue. There’s a greatly refined elegance to the finish of this beer; very much like a fine champagne or geueze. Overall, this is an astoundingly well-rounded, interesting, engaging, lively brew. Great for an easy, refreshing summer night sipper.

750ml bottle, a little gushing at the opening, hazy yellow gold hue, with a bubbly white head, but falls quickly, yeasty, sweet honeyed cerealic raw kamut, pale, munich, toasted malt, sugar cane nose, with a faint fruity candied pineapple, pears notes, with a hint of vanilla and ginger in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a super sweet yeasty, candied pinneapple, pear character from the sugar cane used in this beer, giving some honeyed pale, toasted cerealic malty, bready dough, faint honeyish lolipop flavours, with a mild stewed apples accent spiced with vanilla and ginger, and a light flowery leafy hop undertone, leading towards a fruity, juicy honeyed pineapple, pear sweetness finish.
