75cl bottle @ Ca De Vin, Millesimo. Pours unclear orange with a lovely creamy head and lacings. Nose and taste is complex. So much of everything - and it really works. Fine balance. Very malty and spicy. Caramel, yeast, baking powder, sweetness, exotic fruits, pepper, ginger and hops. Smooth and full palate. Very tasty.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2009 Orange-beige. The aroma is yeasty with pepper and bitter citrus. Surprising herbal bitterness. Light orange notes and a little bread. Nice brew but nothing crazy.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy orange body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of apple, mustiness, and light citrus. Flavor of apple cider, alcohol, and some spices.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Sweet malty spicy aroma. Sweet malty spicy flavor. Has a malty aftertaste with some spicy hints. A very nice beer.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2005 (12-6-05, bottle) After my last experience with this I never wanted to buy another bottle, but given that it was included in a tasting, I got my chance with the purchase already included. Hazy golden body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, apple, light clove. Taste is moderately sweet, apple, honey, light metallic in the finish. No bitterness. Medium-full body, some stickiness, low carbonation. Same overall score. (4/3/4/3/8)
(10-31-04, bottle) Opaque cider body topped by medium beige head that dissipates fairly quickly -- the bottom of the pour was chunky. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, fruity (apricot, white grape), cookie dough, some metallic. Taste is moderately sweet, honey, herbal, wheat, finishes with some metallic. Watery medium body, with fairly dry finish. For what I paid, I really wanted to like this, but truth is, it did not impress. (5/3/4/2/8)

slightly hazy yellow, pungent lovely aroma little spicy. fresh light complex and gingery a little tart and citrusy in finish.

Bottle @ Italian tasting @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours a nice clear golden with a medium creamy white head, weak lacing. The head diminishes fast. Aroma is complex: honey (is that the myrrh?), lots of herbs (basil peeping through), ashes, roses, ginger and wheat. Lively, but still rather full mouthfeel. Interesting flavour. Dry herbal, violets, heather, roses. Quite dry and very Saison-like. All these spices and herbs are never too much - always well-balanced.

It’s hazy, warm golden with sediment and a white head. The aroma is very floral with notes of elderflower, malt spice and something, that must be myrrh. The slightly sweet flavor has notes of flower, elderflower, malt, ginger and again what I believe is myrrh, and the finish is slightly dry. A very exciting and tasty brew.

Cloudy golden with a tiny white head. Exciting and complex aroma, of tropical flowers, daffodils, spices and a little fruit. Sweet and fruity flavour with complex spices. Could get cloying, but a really exciting beer

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden with floaties. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, malt, hops, citrus and ginger.
