COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tasted 15/4/15 at A’Caneva, Corniglia, Italy. BB Mar2016. Poured a crystal clear dark amber with a one- to two-finger off white frothy head that retained well and laced OK. Carbonation high and fine. Many fine yeast particles. Aroma of sweet malt. Taste of sweet caramel, possibly honey, and a hint of bitterness; a reasonably strong taste. Light body. Smooth, crisp, slightly sweet and with a lingering slight bitterness. OK.

Colore ambrato carico, schiuma scarsa. Odore erbaceo tenue. Corpo medio, carbonazione bassa. Leggermente asprigna e atringente.

Great color, a bit sweet, quite nice overall. I could have gone for a bit more hops, and I think the malt could support it.

Hazy amber color that starts with a nice off-white head and then keeps a nice lacing that last longer.Aroma is quite sweet with notes of burned sugar, toffee, oak, citrus and slightly alcohol. Flavor is spicy, malty and sweet, hints of barley wine. Low carbonation in a medium to full body with a bitter malt finish.

Draught @ Open Baladin, Rome. Draught said "Open" and chalkboard "Open Amber." Aroma is odd and musty with orange and citrus. Flavour is tart with citrus, hayish malt and toffee candy. Weird but not bad. Too much citrus for my taste though. Turns into sweet toffee candy at the end of the glass - tastes better now.

75 cl bottle, amber color, short but thick creamy offwhite head. IPA nose. Caramel hops, candy sugar, syrup, biscuits, nuts, raisins and american hops. Taste is sweetish to bitter, full body, thick texture, soft carbonation. Sticky finish, lingering bitterness. Nice.

Draught @ Baladin Bistrot, Milano. Drank with a chicken meal. Quite clear copper colour and a white head. Sweetish toffee malty amber beer with a typical hoppiness for Baladin beers.

Bottle, 0.33l. Murky amber color with small creamy off-white head, plenty of floating particles and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, wood and herbal hops. Taste starts with refreshing fruity acidity, but quickly gets substituted by sweet and rich biscuity maltiness with sherry note, spicy and alcoholic mouthfeel, while finish is moderate bitter with long aftertaste. Full body, syrupy texture and lively natural carbonation in palate. Full of malt and hops, however still well balanced...
