Open with a blend of pepper.

If you say ROLLING STONE, the first thing that comes to mind is Rock’n Roll, big music festivals, Woodstock, the Isle of White Festival, and great bands and artists - from the “Stones” to Richie Havens, Joan Baez, The Who and many more. “Spicy” and gritty musicians, for sure! So here’s a “gritty” version of our Open Baladin: “OPEN ROLLING STONE”, dedicated to these musicians and R&R, and to the world-renowned prestigious magazine that has always represented it. A beer whose freshness and the skillful use of different types of pepper blend with the aromas and bitterness of hops in a “musical” crescendo. A true drink’n roll experience which will certainly attract a host of aficionados. 12EBC, 16.8°

Aroma: Rich, bready, medium-light spicy, green pepper corn. Light apples. Appearance: Hazy dark gold body with particulars. Medium white head, good retention. Flavour: Medium, grape stems, Medium green pepper corn, Grainy. Light fruity, apricot. Light warmth from pepper. Medium bitterness. Medium sweetness. Dry finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-high carbonation, creamy. Overall: As an APA it lacks in hop aromas and flavours. With pepper the prominent flavour and aroma, it is a good beer, but the APA base never shines. 330 ml bottle, poured. Labeled as Rock & Roll 21A. Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer 10A. American Pale Ale

Pours cloudy (a lot of sediment floating) orange with small white head. Aroma of apricot, mango with great, a bit earthy, complex pepper aroma, which is the best part of this beer. Body is medium. Carbonation medium-low. Rather sweet, but with nice bittereness in the finish. Alcohol note, which gets a bit unpleasant when beer warms up a bit. Very interesting and great aroma, taste is a bit worse. Anyway, good beer.

Cloudy amber color, huge white head. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Aroma of apricot juice, malts, hops. Its very creamy with light hot pepper kick at the end. Medium sweet, light bitter taste. Very fruity. Too bad its not more peppery.

Bottled 750ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb as Rock’n’Roll. Hazy orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild fruity hoppy nose. Big chunks of sediment floating all over the glass. Moderate malty, light fruity spicy, caramel and hops with dusty flowery notes in the finish. Theres some alcohol as well. Not bad at all.
