DRINK’N ROLL ALE
If you say ROLLING STONE, the first thing that comes to mind is Rock’n Roll, big music festivals, Woodstock, the Isle of White Festival, and great bands and artists - from the “Stones” to Richie Havens, Joan Baez, The Who and many more. “Spicy” and gritty musicians, for sure! So here’s a “gritty” version of our Open Baladin: “OPEN ROLLING STONE”, dedicated to these musicians and R&R, and to the world-renowned prestigious magazine that has always represented it. A beer whose freshness and the skillful use of different types of pepper blend with the aromas and bitterness of hops in a “musical” crescendo. A true drink’n roll experience which will certainly attract a host of aficionados. 12EBC, 16.8°

Lys brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Søtlig lukt, fudge, tørket frukt og noe mild sitrus. Middels fylde. Søtlig smak, karamell, fudge, fløte, vanilje og svært lett kort bitterhet i avsluttningen.

Amber color, cloudy liquid and medium head. Hoppy aroma with some caramel notes. Taste is bitter with a long finish. It's a very good italian pale ale!

Bottle in La Tana, Brussels. Deep golden, large white head. Aroma mango, peach. Medium low carbonation, fairly full body. Taste first follows aroma, later turns more peppery and hoppy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Look: hazy yellow with unstable white head. Aroma: prominent black pepper and cubeba notes with mint freshness and some dusty grass. Taste: dry with spicy and hoppy bitterness, light malt sweetness. Flavour: black pepper, allspice, cubeba, mint, grassy hops. Good.

Bought this 75cl bottle in a small store in San Marino. Shared back home in UK. It poured a hazy golden orange with a decent looking off-white head. Aroma of spices, orange, yeast, pepper and hops. Medium bitterness and sweetness. Medium bodied, creamy texture. Soft carbonation. This was a real grower and was well worth bringing back (kind of wished I’d not shared it!!).

Way too much taste of alcohol that unfortunately destroys a good nose. Hidden behind the alcohol cloud there are sweet malty flavors and fresh bitterness.

Bottle, as Open Rock ’n’ Roll. 10C. Hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of mandarins, bread, peaches, pepper. Soft, fruity and quite sweet with bread and stone fruit gradually giving way to oranges then pepper. The malt is somehow rich and delicate. Bitterness is moderate. Good stuff but rather strong for what it offers.

Dorada turbia, bonito color. Carácter belga en el aroma, ligeramente lupulado y con notas de levadura. Y en boca está entre una blonde y una tripel, malteada, bien seca, moderadamente amarga, toque cítrico. Lúpulo americano?

Bottle. Curious Hop, Otley. As Open Rock ’n’ Roll. Hazy, gingery orange. Thin, dense, lasting, bright white head. Nose is fusty, spicy hop. Fruity, bready grain. Hint of strawberry to it. Taste is fruity sweet. Some spice. Turns chewy bitter. Oily palate. A bit slippy and chewy. Finishes oddly sweet and spicy bitter. Can’t work out what this is supposed to be. Not for me.
