04-MAY-2013, bottle @home, from Eataly Rome. Murky golden with low tan head. Fruity yeasty aroma with spice, apricot, and "cheese". Pepper...? Taste is malt, toaste, peach, spice, pepper. Thin body, soft carbonation. Not really hoppy. This cannot be an IPA... Do not exactly like this.

Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, toasted - caramel, bright nuts - pale nutty, candy, toffee notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet toffee. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121218]

Hazy golden color with small creamy head. The aroma has some ethyl alcohol, and other alcohols, light vegetables. Smooth flavor, with good malt, but the hop is rather anonymous; light honey touch; mild sweetness in the end.
Pleasant but simple.

[25 cl bottle @ home] Pours a light amber colour with a massive off-white head. Interesting aroma, with the delicate floral hops right at the front, taken over by massive peach, brown sugar, pepper, overall very sweet. in the mouth it’s all caramel with some fruitiness and spiciness and a little bitterness to balance the sweetness, some alcohol [a bit unpleasant in this case]. Very belgian-ish, more than an IPA. medium bodied with a medium to light carbonation. Long lasting peachy sweetness lingering on the palate, no hops at all. The aroma was fine, the rest a bit unexciting.

Bottle at the Beer, Bocce and Boozer Tasting, London. I brought this one. Pours hazy gold with a tight, cream head. Leafy caramel aroma with light pine, grass and toasty sugar. Medium sweet flavor with toast, caramel malts, tangy pine and grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, slightly syrupy, more piney and grassy hops and toasty malt sweetness. OK, though not a straight-ahead IPA.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton at his Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. the nose is hay, orange fruit, sherbet, icing sugar and a touch of sulphur. The taste is sweet malt, hay, straw, citrus pith, orange sherbet, fruit salad, icing sugar and a touch of spice, with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Too sweet.

Bottle @ Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting. Light amber color with a big, frothy head. The nose is yeast, cotton candy, straw, some pepper. More yeast in the taste orchard fruits, some grassy hops on the finish. Very sweet. Medium body. Overall, it was interesting to find out this is an IPA, as it tastes nothing like one.
