Bottle @ home. Pours with a dark golden colour, medium white head. Aroma is quite a lot fruity, apple and pears too; somewhat artificial, but enjoyable. On the contrary, taste is quite dull: not so sweet, a little bitter, not even remotely interesting. Quite a heavy body for a cider, little carb for a cider.

Bottle at Centrolina DC pours a clear gold with a ring of white head. Nose is nice, apples, apple juice, white grape, light honey, light spice. Flavor follows, strong apple juice flavor without being overly sweet, light grape, mild spice, a little bit of butter. Dry finish. Nice.

Hazy pale golden color with a small white head. Aroma of apples, skins, wood, wild yeast, blue cheese. Taste of apples, blue cheese, wood, vanilla, dry finish.

Bottle @ 10K + OT. Thanks, Andrew. Clear straw pour with a white head. Aromas of sweet honey, apple, and sugar. A hint of pineapple, some butter, and vinegar. Weird combination. The taste is kind of acetic and sour, but also quite sweet and fruity. Pear, apple, and a hint of honey. Quite buttery, though. A bit musty and mealy as well.

>> Clear white gold pour, ring of bubbles. Nose is butter, butyric, margarine, vegetable oil, odd armpit. Taste is tannic yellow apple, dry cinnamon, dusty, mild spice. Dusty finish, powdery, continuing oddities of butter. Very odd, fairly flawed for cider.

Ciders are my favorite drink right now and this one is spontaneously fermented, so it is as natural as it gets. Has a slight musty apple aroma and cloudy yellow color. Tastes like a subtle apple juice.

Bouteille 25cl @ IL Pretesto, Bologna. BB 04/2015.

[10/17/13] Bottle at Open Baladin in Rome. Clear deep golden. Pleasant apples aroma with a light citric hint and a sulphury touch. Sweetish flavor of apples, a bit sugary, a bit sulphury, with faint tartness. A decent cider.

Sweaty $14 750 from New Beer Distributors. This French cider is donning Armani.
Fluted tulip. Absolutely massacred that stubborn bottle cap. Clear, bronze, MGD color. Inch of soda white head that lingers enough to almost resemble an average lager. Constant activity.
Smell is dominated by Werther’s caramel candies, with spicy & ticklishly tart apples playing catch up. Buttery pie crust. Something very much like strawberry jam at the end.
Taste is powdered sugar sweet & soft. Upfront malic acid. Juicy. Candy apples. Earthy, mellow tannins. Honey. Quiet woody vanilla residual.
Slick mouthfeel. Foamy. Just enough bite in the carbonation. Sulfites are in check. Easy.
While the taste can’t quite live up to the so very curious aroma, it’s still a pretty good buy as a whole. Plenty of locals charge this much & more for their time. Underrated.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Label shows 2011 vintage! Slightly hazed golden pour with a short, foamy white head. Aroma is apples but with slight funk and earthiness. Taste is ripe apples, baked apples, apple juice, light earthiness and a touch of funkiness/barnyard. Body is light with soft, prickly carbonation and lots of stickiness. Ends with more apple juice, green apples, baked apples and earthy notes. Nice cider!
