The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn’t believe that, it’s the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the ’800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

Pours a dark amber body with a medium head. Nice and malty aroma with a hint of hops. Very nice and rich taste with malty flavours like syrup and dried fruit.

Pours dark orange with a thick, big buff colored head. Aroma of citrus and nuts. Big complex nutty sweet taste. Mild, malty finish with round malty deliciousness. Super is right.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2015 750ml bottle served in a chalice. A: Pours a slightly hazy amber color forming a small and very persistent light yellow head with medium persistence and only few spotty lacings left in the glass. S: Very sweet and fruity nose. Strong notes of peaches, apples, caramel, sweet pale malts, grapefruit, orange zest and grassy hops. Slightly spicy with some hints of honey, vanilla and licorice. Sweet bread. T: Taste follows the nose. A quite sweet and smooth Ale. Strong notes of peaches, apples, caramel, sweet pale malts, grapefruit, orange zest and grassy hops. Notes of honey, vanilla and licorice. Sweet bread. Medium hops bitterness finish. M: Medium molasses body. Smooth. Medium to low carbonation. Sweet, fruity and grassy aftertaste. Persistent. O: Great drinkability. Le Baladin quality. A clear copper coloured brew with a small but long lasting head of foam, great lacing. It smells very grainy, a bit fruity, noticeable hop presence. More whiffs in and it gets strongly caramel malty. Malty sweet, not so much grain, light fruitiness. Very smooth, near perfect mouth feel yet, a bit lacking somehow when I take the price tag into account. +$18 for a bottle.

C’est très fin.Très italien en cela que ça a de vineux.Légère acidité, malté/caramel, effervescence "frizzante".Quelque chose aussi proche d’un bon cidre.Très original et étonnant.

Birra semplicemente spettacolare. É una delle birre artigianali che preferisco. Molto corposa, gradazione elevata colore ambrato! Consigliata ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Una birra eccezionale... non sto qua a farve una descrizione delle varie note e aromi, perché trovo che sia inutile e anche perché francamente non me li ricordo... però ricordo solo che è una delle birre che ho bevuto con più piacere...

I don’t get the love for this - A fruity chritmas cake with spruce topping and lots of burnt raisins. Doesn’t really develop in to much. Solid, but not world class.

Draught at GJBF Yokohama 2014. Awesome brew, plenty of pear, apricot, plum, butter tart, alcohol is well hidden. Would swear this is actually a top brew from Belgium.

Bottle 0,25L. Hazy, light amber colour with creamy, light brown head. Aroma of caramel, almond and sherry. Taste is sweet in a good way and very fruity (mostly cherry), with long lasting aftertaste. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. They choose the right name for this beer (super=great). Alcohol is well hidden.
