The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn’t believe that, it’s the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the ’800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

Bottle from You’ll Never Walk Alone, Kolding. Unclear dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dark sugar and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with a little alcohol. 300114

Medium off-white dissapating head over clear dark nut amber beer. Quite generous nose of dried fruit, malty bread (with rose-hip jam), cheese, sweet spice. Great nose. Medium bodied, slick and well-carbonated, the attack and midpalate are a let-down from the nose but ok. Mostly dry, faint sweetness, keen little sourness, and well-balanced bitterness, the next dimension isn’t arriving. Only medium length with a discreet sweetness. Absolutely no complaints but no tearful panegyrizing either.

Lukter stenfrukt. Rund fruktig behagelig smak. Søt lite ettersmak, men behagelig rund.

A very frothy, short and dying soft white head momentarily floats on a hazed dark honey body leaving no lace

Aromas and flavors are initially somewhat cheesy with dusty yet juicy fruit notes of overripe banana and apricot, a touch of bubble gum, reminding me a bit of Matilda and Orval with it’s sweet medium dark malt layer juxtaposed with a mildly off putting earthy cheese layer, small sips combined with exaggerated tasting movements offer some effervescence of pear and apple, this one grows into a more enjoyable experience with warmth into the 60’s, carameled sweet red apple leads to a pinnacle of juicy apricot and blood orange with layers of malty almond

Palate is medium with almost no carbonation, creating a light coating of all the aforementioned flavors, definitely not your standard texture

8.5oz capped bottle code LO58 at 55º into TeKu
