3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A cloudy, coppery beer with a medium and cream head. The nose is quite sweet, mix of berries and fruits, strawberries, prunes, some nuts. Succesfully aroma. Taste of nutty maltyness, dark and fresh fruits, nice fruity sweetness, some spices and bitter almond. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Interesting beer and unique beer. At one word, sophisticated.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orange amber cloudy body with small head. Thick malts, rich, spices, Belgian yeast, toasty, dark fruit -- it’s all good for a BSA but it misses some sticky sweetness for me. BSA’s shouldn’t be so clean. The heavy malts do make for a good mouth feel, interestingly lowly carbonated and just enough (mdoern?) hop bitterness. Alcohol is surely present and warming, so I give this beer the benefit of the doubt. Good attempt and if regarded as an Italian twist rather than a Belgian remake it works out all well. Luckily, because it’s about 3 times as expensive as a Belgian. (Fancy 25cl bottle from Etaly Torino)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
250 ml bottle. Pours a ruby copper colour with a white small head. Aroma is rather nice and complex with sweet raisins, mild tartness, lingonberries and bread. Rich flavour of caramel, tart berries, bread, white grapes, yeast and even chocolate. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a rich, sweet, fruity and rather complex finish. Great.
