2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Gorgeous 25oz bottle from BW opens with a marked pop. Hazy, red-amber pour with a lot of sediment and a short white head which fades quickly to nothing and leaves no lace. Nose is sweet and ripe-fruit malty. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. Apricot, plum, hint of raisin and some wood. Finish is short, fairly lightweight and dry. Despite the sediment, there’s no yeastiness.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750ml bottle @martjoobolut’s, thanks. Amber color, full of floaty bits. Looks like divers paradise. Sweet, candy caramel, malty, fruity, apples in aroma. Apples, candy, sweet, malty taste. Caramel in aftertaste. Sweet, but feels watery. Strange. Well tbh I don’t mind it just sad it looks like this.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
750ml bottle (Alus Celle, Riga)
Ugh, crappy floaty bits, and we’re only part of the way through the pour. Sweet mashy pale grains aroma, porridgy. Mart’s glass was less sticky and sweet but more weird. Taste was better, it was a quite light, but sugary, belgian ale. Ours was thick and sticky, mashy and sugary, and just a bit of a mess. As I go down he glass, the flaws fade, but everything fades, it beomes quite weak flavourwise. Brewed from sugar more thin malts, to be honest. Hmm, undecided about this.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Kompleks, mørk aroma med mye malt og rosin. Frisk og søt, kremete i munnen med god balanse og konsentrasjon.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Opaque dark gold, medium white head. Dark fruit and some nuts on the nose. Medium body, delightfully balanced flavour - all is in order. Roasty, nutty notes with more of that dark fruit. Overall - delightful, if a bit overcarbonated.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, dark fruit notes, a little citrus and marzipan, yest and caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and slightly bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A nice Ale.🌟🌟🌟

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle sample from a tasting backlog notes. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a thin off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, tart apples, citrus, hint of apricots, slight floral hops, only the lightest bitterness, interesting beer, but not something I would seek out.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The description positions this beer beautifully and so I don’t believe I need to add to it. The real triumph was the food match, made by my esteemed company, the writer Geoff Griggs and his wonderful wife Pip. I cooked a slow-roasted lamb shoulder in a ragout of tomato, garlic, cinnamon, olives and ale. I had expect the best match to be an innocuous lager that would cut through the fat of the lamb, but my friends put on this excellent ale whose sweetness set off the savoury of the lamb wonderfully well. A memorable ale for this reason.
